He has a human form, but he doesn't like the idea of acceptance by looking pretty. He just wanted to be loved and accepted as he is. But he doesn't seek for validation. He welcomes everyone who are okay with him and ignores whoever dislikes him.

He was an angel with a fair white skin. Unfortunately he turns his back from heaven principle and finally becoming a demon himself after a certain succubus, known as 'Whisper of the Devil' changed his point of view. After the fall, his skin changed color to a pretty black ash symbolizing he is no more an angel pure from sins.
