Victoria & Vincent were both strung along and ultimately turned by the same woman, Fiona. She was an old vampire that had first met Victoria when she posed as a Catholic high school student.

Victoria fell for her hard ( and without the use of Fiona’s vampire seduction ). With years of building up a close friendship that lead into a romantic relationship, Victoria asked Fiona to turn her. She never wanted to part from her or grow old–so Fiona eventually complied. The moment she woke up to her new undead life was one she would soon learn to regret. Being a vampire & being with Fiona was fun at first but then Victoria got to see a different side of Fiona that she was disgusted by.

Fiona had lied about the source of their meals claiming it was stolen from hospitals or blood banks. Victoria was completely unaware of all the bodies Fiona had been leaving all around town and how little she cared for human life. And when she tricked Victoria into accidentally killing a man for sustenance she broke things off with Fiona. The woman she came to love & adore was a monster & she wanted no part of it. Victoria soon ran away from her old life by compelling everyone in her life ( Her twin sister Valentina & Vincent ) to forget about her, shut herself in isolation, vowing to never kill anyone again & only drink from animals.
