Profile

The tale of Malum.

This story begins with the two ruling deities of Lotl, Bellum and Pacem. They had just witnessed a full-scale revolution, started by their own people against them and non-Lotlites. It had become clear to them that they alone could not quell all disputes that happen within their world and as a result decided to create demigods to rule over each individual ring of their respective lands. Bellum was the one who made the first attempt.

That attempt was a horrible failure. During the process of creation some foul power came into play and infected the demigod while he was being formed. The end product was a broken Lotlite with an insatiable hunger. When Bellum and Pacem approached the Lotlite, they were alarmed to find that their very essence was being painfully sapped away from them. Pacem was the first to cry out “Malum!” and attacked the Lotlite, believing that it was a product of evil. Bellum on the other hand did not want to believe it, but he could not deny that there was something very wrong with his creation.

With the help of a foreign god. They banished the Lotlite to a barren world where he could do no harm. A prison the size of the planet. He was to remain there while the gods figured out what they were going to do with him. There he resided, scared and confused. He did not know what he did wrong, and was hesitant to blame the gods as that did not seem right to him, but time would pass and he grew to resent them, later he would even come to hate them. Those feelings fueled his drive to get even, so much that he drove himself to consume the core of the barren wasteland he was imprisoned in.

He was successful. With the energy that he had consumed he was able to tear open a portal and make his escape. To this day no one knows where he could have gone.
