Orchid has a very eccentric and energetic personality in the sense that she always seems chipper and ready to tackle anything. She almost has a sparkle in her eyes that’s always showing excitement, and she takes every day as it comes, and she always tries her best to make every day the best one she’s ever had. She tries not to let negativity bother her, and is always looking to the more positive side of life. A bad day isn’t a bad day, it just means that the next one will be better.

Oddly enough, one would think that someone in her position would stress easily – but she happens to be fairly wrinkle free for her age. Stress? She wouldn’t know the meaning of the word. Even if things at her job are getting difficult, she knows there’s always a solution and nothing goes wrong without reason. Whether it be dealing with problems in the kitchen or a particularly grumpy customer – she’ll always figure something out with a smile on her face.

She loves to talk and converse with others. It’s easy to pin her as an extrovert for not only this reason but also due to the fact that she gets ‘cabin fever’ very easily. She hates being cooped up at home and would rather be out exploring the city or spending time with friends. She doesn’t mind being at home if her girlfriend is with her, but unfortunately that’s not often due to the both of them often being on call to their respective jobs.

Her gossipy habits are one of her main downfalls, however, as she’s not easily trusted with secretive information. Not that it matters really, because due to a psychic power she possesses, she knows someone’s guiltiest secrets from simply coming into contact with their skin. She doesn’t know she has this power, however, as she’s awfully dense at the best of times – she just assumes that she heard the information somewhere but can’t recall where.

Being a highblood, Orchid was born into a rich society that made it quite easy for her to make her way to the top of the ladder in terms of her career and famousness, but strangely she refused to take that path and instead work for her fame like someone of a lower caste would have to. She never intentionally wanted to become famous, it was just a perk that came with her fantastic cooking that she just considers a bonus that shows that people love her food.

She started cooking at a very young age and started her career by selling baked goods and small pastries on the side of the road. She never expected anything to flourish from that, but before she knew it trolls were lining up early to get first pick from her stall. She decided that once she was old enough and more financially stable, she would set up a small shop. She knew it would be difficult to maintain but she believed she could do it. It just took some work and perseverance.

It took a long time, but she eventually bought a small lot on the outskirts of the city and immediately tried setting it up out of excitement. She realised quickly that building wasn’t her strong point and sheepishly ended up hiring some trolls who worked in construction to set it up for her. She just appointed herself the job of purchasing furniture, appliances, ingredients, and having menus printed so she felt like she was helping. A couple of months had passed before she felt like she was set up properly, and she put an announcement in the local newspaper about her opening. She was so proud of her first little restaurant and once word got out, she was swamped in orders and customers to the point where she had to hire staff, but she didn’t mind. She was living the dream.

After about five sweeps, Orchid sold the restaurant to a small elderly couple wishing to run a bakery. Why? Because she had been offered a position in the middle of the city, of course! She was moving up in the ranks. As more and more sweeps passed, she found herself moving up the ranks and even found herself appearing on TV shows and magazine articles. Eventually she started her own business yet again but in a large building that had three kitchens. It was going to be a lot of work, but she knew she could handle it.

Cut to now, and she is one of the most famous chefs in the world, and many celebrities dine in at her restaurant and she’s often the first choice of chef to cook for special celebrity events and causes. She has her own cooking show, and even is a judge on another. She wouldn’t trade her work in for anything and enjoys it very much to this day.

She met her friend Lesili at a celebrity run charity event back when the other was only a costume designer. They became very close over time. Orchid then met her girlfriend – a hitwoman – at her restaurant where she claimed she wanted to poison someone’s food! Orchid never seemed to bat an eye and instead invited her in to sample some of the food, then sent her on her way without altering someone’s meal like she’d planned. Curious, the girl wanted to get to know the chef better for some reason, and it wasn’t long before the two hit it off despite being completely opposite in personality. Opposites do attract, after all.
