Profile

An Edeia representing the Idea of Deception.

Orientation: Asexual
Age: Age of Reunion - Present ( Around 20 - 100 yrs old )
Height: 1.78m - 2m

Personality

"Jack of all trades, master of none..."

Vik is very energetic and can be described as a workaholic; sometimes she tries to do more things than she can. She lives to trick and fool others, to make herself seem better than she is, or that she is someone to depend on or trust. She can fluctuate between extreme boredom and extreme obsession - which is why she gambles and plays a lot of games and tricks.

Her true nature is one of great deception. She is a being of secrets, lies, and betrayals. She will never be there when someone needs her the most; she will not catch them when they fall.

Vik loves attention and having the spotlight. If she can get attention by being good, then she'll be good, but if she gets more attention by being bad, then she'll be bad.

Behind all of those curtains of deception and lies, however, she is just an anxious and nervous wreck that cares deeply about others, be they humans or other sentient beings. She will never cause any physical harm to those she cares about deeply, but will never reveal her attachment to them, either.

Abilities

Manipulation: To lie and make others believe it is the truth, and to say the truth as if it were a lie. Vik is able to persuade and manipulate others at her own will.

Fool's Trick: She can create magical illusory tricks to deceive an entity’s own senses and perception of things.

Deception: Vik is able to make any being susceptible to deception, or make them do the act of it.

Mimic: To deceive another that she is someone/something that she is not by mimicking perfectly someone else’s identity, personality, and own behaviors.

History

Vik was a human born in the modern age, in a city that never sleeps. She was to become a teacher like many others in her family, and that is what they thought she became—but in truth, she lived in a small hotel room and had a terrible and dangerous job.

She was an undercover journalist, she wasn't paid very well for her dull articles, but when she presented juicy articles of well-known people, she was rewarded handsomely. To continue to earn more, she had to find a way to get more information and gossip about famous people.

Her plan was to deceive everyone that she was a rich actress to get insider information. She began to hide her identity of an in-debt hungry journalist, acting as if she was a talented and fancy actress that hasn't been discovered yet. And talents indeed shone—her talents of deception, that is. She deceived enough people to continue her job, getting closer to well-known figures only to sell information and write articles about them. Of course, this caused problems in her life. She uncovered things that she shouldn't have, but still had the audacity to blackmail back those that tried to stop her.

Deceiving let her get everything that she wanted and needed, all at the expense of somebody else. And if she needed some extra spice to her life, she sold articles of herself as if the articles were written by someone else, furthering the guise that she really was what she claimed to be.

And so, her purpose solidified: to deceive she is an idol to be followed. To deceive for personal gain and to continue her life of "luxury" and danger. To cause deception to all who trust her with their heart. To deceive people that she will help them with their needs. To be the devil, the deceiver.

Abstraction

You are greeted in a dark room with two doors. The door on the left emits red light on the floor, and the one on the right emits a royal blue light.

When opening the left door, you find a vibrant red infinite hallway with red doors on both sides, each having a shining white number. The doors on the left have even numbers, while the doors on the right have odd numbers. Past the doors with even numbers are normal rooms, though one is more unique than the others. Past the odd-numbered doors are strange rooms. They are normal at first, but have something that doesn't feel quite right.

If you open the right door of the darkroom, the one that emits royal blue light, you are greeted by a large dark biome. There are broken and tall stone monoliths everywhere and the floor is filled with fine black sand. Some quicksand is present, but it is very noticeable and easy to avoid.
