curt to rude on occasion, he will 100% ressurect your pet for you, no refunds if tigger comes back wrong, still loves to eat but throws it up from time to time, his body only takes in so much physical essence. never intended to take a life, and certainly not his own. considers himself a pursuer of knowledge and will read anything you give to him, no matter how mundane. he'll read a cookbook if its new. that one dirty fic? he'll read it. solitary because he's a workaholic, not because he hates people.

in search for immortality through death (living forever would mean being able to have time to absorb all knowlege), he killed himself accidentally and now feeds on the energy between this realm and the next to keep his form and spirit intact (leylines??? mystical essence??). still working on immortality since he considers this a really sloppy bandaid fix.
he especially likes knowledge that people have told him he isn't supposed to have access to, or is forbidden in some way.
ghost named the Merry Widow will not leave him alone, always pestering with inappropriate advances and gestures.
on the anniversary of his death each year, he experiences it anew. for hours following the time of the event he will be incorporeal and in agony until he is pulled back to his form.
