theyre sent down to judge souls before they die, putting them through trials in a clown like nature, testing them to see weather theyre worthy of heaven and be protected by Angel til their natural death or go straight to hell, shortening their life. with each cruel act they begin to loose feathers on their wings, becoming demon like wings and horns through through their hat, small cruel sins can be fixed with large acts of virtue. it knows when you're lying.
