Appearance
His long, silky, pearl-blonde hair is tied up with a hair barrette. The front bangs are sectioned and textured, covering most of his forehead, and two messy sidebangs that reach down to his chin, curving smoothly outwards. At the bottom of his back, there are four long-shaped wings with brownish spearhead thorns. When tied up, the wings are tucked together, spreading the tips behind his neck while the thorns look up above his head.
His hero costume is based on traditional samurai armor, with a red and black color scheme. He wears a red mask with gutters and red fingerless gauntlets. The black sleeves are rolled up slightly with a red multi-strap chest armor that extends up to his neck. Underneath the armor, he wears a dark, semi-transparent undershirt. A pair of loose-fitting black pants with red armor tassets, along with a black skirt underneath and dark-greyish boots, slightly heeled. He uses a custom red hair barrette for this costume.

Personality
Sometimes when he's in a good mood, Hashou can be a bit teasing and will play along just to observe the situation of those involved. However, he has a soft spot inside and won't insist on going too far to hurt someone’s feelings.
He cares deeply about his family and friends, prioritizing their lives over his own and would act quickly to protect them from danger. However, sometimes it’s hard for him to avoid reckless acts before giving a thought about the situation, lacking the ability to cooperate and listen.
Hashou often spends his time engaging in sports activities, such as jogging and boxing, either alone or with his buddies. He pushes his limits every day until his energy runs low and even at this point, he feels like he could do more. Some might say that he's "beyond taking a rest."
Abilities
Hashou's quirk, "Blade Wings," is very versatile, functioning as deadly weapons that provide excellent mobility and cover from every angle. In battle, Hashou always has his "First Blade" ready in an offensive stance, rushing toward his opponent as quickly as possible. He remains highly focused on his target and reacts quickly to any moves they make. However, His weakness is exposed between his wings and himself. Having a potential risk of losing a blade if they are cut.
His wings provide excellent support in overcoming obstacles that would otherwise be out of reach. They boost his movement, allowing him to push forward faster than running on foot. When activated, they also provide good defense as they can withstand heavy impacts and shocks.
- Martial Arts: Hashou has acquired extensive knowledge over the years, largely through self-teaching and observing the movements of his opponents. With proper training at U.A., he refined his techniques and improved his efficiency, strength, and speed.
- Enhanced Reflexes: Thanks to his sharp eyesight, Hashou possesses an exceptional ability to observe and detect even the slightest movement. He reacts quickly to incoming attacks and can effectively dodge or parry them using his blade wings.
- Enhanced Durability: Hashou handles well at taking hits as he’s very resilient. He can endure severe impacts and still maintain his stance. If losing ground, he would quickly get up and maintain his consciousness for a prolonged period.
- Enhanced Stamina: Having known for his ability to maintain high levels of energy, allowing Hashou endures and fight in long battles without giving up. Even when he reaches his lowest point, he has the strength to continue fighting.
- Cooking Skills: Just like his family, he has excellent cooking skills and would manage to create a high-quality taste of gourmet dishes, but he likely doesn’t enjoy cooking.
- Mechanical Knowledge: He has developed a good amount of knowledge of motorcycles due to his interest, allowing him to identify, repair, and assemble their parts with ease.
Quirk
The quirk itself sounds versatile both offense and defense, it's important to remember that even the sharpest blade can become dull over time.
- Mutation: Each of the thorns on his wings is permanent and the source of his potential power. They are equally sharp like kitchen knives. The wings are too heavy to fly but are wide enough to glide him for a long distance.
- Weight Limit: If the weight exceeds Hashou's own body weight, it becomes highly vulnerable to his health, potentially causing injury and bleeding. In the worst-case scenario, even ripping the skin off his head. Therefore, it's crucial for him to handle them carefully and manage the size and heaviness of the blades to avoid such risks.
- Sturdiness: Hashou’s hair is more robust and resistant than average. They can become relatively dense as steel and with enough weight, it would turn into an impenetrable shield.
- Resilient Growth: His hair can grow back to its original shape if it’s freshly cut or damaged until a certain length. With good training, they would become more extensive in size over time.
- Heat Resistance: Hashou's hair has a high tolerance for heat and is resistant to burning or melting. With his quirk activated, his hair can absorb even more heat, to the point where the blades start glowing hot without sustaining damage.
Ultimate Moves
- The massive weight of the transformed blades holds the opponent in place, even the strongest couldn't brute force to move them.
- This move will lose all of its speed, making them become an immovable unit. In that case, it can be used as an anchor.
BLADE FORM: SCORPION ( 刃形態：サソリ Hakeitai: Sasori ): Hashou combines all four of his wings, twirling them tightly enough to form a single tail-like shape. The ends of the wings then transform into claw-like shapes, which can be used to grab opponents or objects. This form can be swung around like a mace or used to stab through. It is slightly less powerful than the “Second Blade” but more versatile for various situations.
WINGS OF FOUR BLADES ( 翼 の フォーブレード Tsubasa no Fōburēdo ): Hashou's iconic and commonly-used move involves to unleash his blade transforms, which have four stages that can be adjusted higher or lower depending on the user's needs.
- First Blade ( ファーストブレード Fāsutoburēdo ): At the initial stage of blade transformation, Hashou has no issues controlling them with great ease. This form is incredibly fast, resembling swords in their swiftness. He frequently utilizes this move as a starting point in most situations.
- Second Blade ( セカンドブレード Sekandoburēdo ): At the second stage of the transformation, the blades become slightly wider and sharper, with a more pronounced edge. Hashou is still able to control them, but the increased weight makes them slower than in the first stage. These blades are capable of cutting through rocks and cement.
- Third Blade ( サードブレード Sādoburēdo ): The third transformation marks the beginning of a difficult phase. The blades become spikier, edgier, and thicker, covering half of the wings. They become powerful enough to penetrate almost anything. Hashou will struggle if he lifts them too long, to the point where his head would start to actually hurt.
- Fourth Blade ( フォースブレード Fōsuburēdo ): In the fourth transformation, Hashou risks his own health as they become fatal. The blades completely reached their final form, resembling the wings of a dragon. The weight is beyond his limit, making it almost impossible to lift them. He needs to exert all his strength and stamina to trail them around. Because of their high robustness and weight, they won't swing much, but they can break anything on impact. He only uses this move for defensive purposes but on rare occasions.

- Red Muzzle Mask ( レッドマズルマスク Reddomazurumasuku ): A mouth guard with gutters to protect his mouth area and preventing to bite somebody.
- Knife-Protection Hair Barrette ( ナイフプロテクション ヘアバレッタ Naifupurotekushon Heabaretta ): A custom-made hairpiece with the sole purpose of holding Hashou's wings more efficiently than his normal hair piece. It has a magnets attached inside and can be secured at the back of his neck whenever his wings get loose.
- Layered Neck-Protection ( レイヤードネックプロテクション Reiyādonekkupurotekushon ): It provides coverage and support to minimize pain and pressure, making it crucial for safety reasons.
Trivia
- Hashou’s name in kanji means 刃 (blade) and 翔 (soar). It directly translate as “soaring blade.”
- “Basa” could be directed from the word “Tsubasa”, which means “Wing.”
- Shibasa’s family name in kanji means 四 (four), 場 (place, location) and 鎖 (chain).
- He always tied up his hair before bedtime, usually far away from him or tucking them under the pillow. He learned the hard way.
- The thorns can get blunt over time, but if cut they would grow back to its original form. He would cut his hair once or twice every year.
- The reason why he dislikes the rain is because it makes the thorns rusty.
- Like family, he’s very skilled in cooking.

Burahara & Sakuren
Despite the incident that left her with only faint memories of her parents, Nanao still treasures the happy moments she spent with them during her childhood. Her mother, Burahara was a kind and caring person who constantly sought to give Nanao a blissful life. Her father, Sakuren was humorous and protective around her, taking the time to acknowledge her feelings and engage in fun activities together. While she yearns to learn more about their past, Nanao tries to cherish those fond memories and hold onto the positive aspects of her parents' personalities.
Jukuro Yuikera
Jukuro is her uncle, but despite being unaware of it, an uncomfortable friendship developed. When Nanao met him during the rise of the Criminals of Masquerade, Jukuro, being brainwashed by Memoro, was aggressive towards her as he didn't recognize her true identity. They used to be enemies of each other. Nanao began to worry whenever Jukuro was nearby, trying to trail her down and initiate a fight but eventually managed to avoid most of them. After confronting him again during the mission collapse, she was told that Jukuro regained his memories, and stopped fighting each other anymore. But moreover pursued the same goal of defeating Memoro. Which sooner or later brought the bond closer. During her years at U.A High School, Nanao felt more comfortable around Jukuro as he was there often to check on her and her daily life. He started off in a more supportive manner in a way apparent that he often coached her after school and offered some advice although it isn't overly demonstrated.
Sumiko Tomonokori
Nanao's adoptive mother, Sumiko, took her in after the tragic death of her biological parents. Sumiko is a kind-hearted woman who has taught Nanao many valuable lessons even though she had some troubles. However, because of Sumiko's involvement in an incident that put Nanao's life in danger, they were forced to flee to South Korea to hide. Nanao only learned the full truth about the situation later on when Sumiko explained it to her. Despite the things they both went through, Nanao promised to return her favor and protect her in any way she could. After Nanao returned to Japan and entered U.A., she still keeps in touch with her adoptive mother with the help of a friend.

Hashou Shibasa
Her only closest friend since childhood. When they were young, she admired him, but they were unable to spend much time together as she had to leave her hometown suddenly. Despite Hashou's habit of teasing her in a lighthearted way, Nanao rarely argues with him. She values his unwavering support throughout the U.A. years. Although she sometimes makes impulsive decisions, she saw something in Hashou and believes a potential future of him as an excellent hero with great strength in heart.
Koroya Tamashika
Koroya is one of her classmates and a friend of Isoi's. Although he knew about Nanao’s past involving a villain, he is not very receptive to building a positive friendship with her. Despite the tension between them, Nanao still values him as a friend and tries to understand his perspective. She believes that Koroya has a good heart and doesn't want anyone to take his words too personally.
Isoi Ashita
She's like an older sister to Nanao and a fellow classmate. Nanao is inspired by her contagious positive energy and enjoys spending time with her, even when their friends Hashou and Koroya are around. They have a dynamic duo and takes the most of Nanao’s personality. She gave her the nickname "Nyanao" after introducing her to some cats which unleashed her ultimate obsession of cats.
