Overview:

Carne is an unapologetic elf with a mean streak and a love for treasure. Spending her teenage years in the poorest districts of the Arcadian Moores, Carne became quite adept at the rough life of the lowest classes. From this she gained a pretty debilitating kleptomania addiction with a special interest in stealing spoons and other cutlery.  When she's not robbing the local pubbs blind of their spoons, Carne is a world renowned treasure hunter and officially makes her coin from locating and selling treasures to Arcadias highest bidders.

Her Past:

Originally hailing from the wealthy and upstanding Lovette family, Carne fled at a very young age and survived on the streets as a opposed to remaining protected by her family name. The Lovette family deals in geomancy and has a tight monopoly on the gem trade throughout Arcadia, and particularly the Capital where their main estate resides. Carne has many cousins and extended family that also deal in the business but only one sibling. Her twin brother, Jasper.

Not all is well within the Lovette estate however, as the business is often shady and the family itself has many dark secrets. For their entire lives, the twins lived in fear of their abusive perfectionist father, Cornelius Lovette, who also took it upon himself to train the children in the ways of Geomancy and the business at large. It was during one of these training sessions that young Carne, then known as "miss Carnelian" finally snapped and gouged her father's eye out with the silver spoon of her mothers favorite tea set before fleeing the estate to evade her fathers abuse. Carne never once offered a farewell to her passive and long broken mother but tried desperately to convince her brother to go with her. When he refused, she renounced the Lovette family forever and left her brother to suffer all of Cornelius's rage alone. Despite Jaspers decision to stay, Carne continues to feel a guilty sadness for him.

After fleeing the estate, Carne traveled as far from the upper districts as she could get in the hopes that she wouldn't be followed. After a few weeks, she had grown weak from living in the gutters. While she was resting in a dark damp alley, a boy approached her. He appeared to be around her age, slightly taller than her, dirty clothes and glowing eyes. He shared his food rations with her and sat down to talk. Soon Carne and the boy (finding out eventually that his name was Reed) were a team and overtime they were an extremely efficient team. The two remained very close until their success in thievery brought them into trouble. A rival thievery organization grew angry with Reeds refusal to leave her and join them, so they had him arrested. From then on, Carne traveled solo. She didn't enjoy teaming up with anyone else and wouldn't even consider it

In a few short years she made a name for herself as one of the greatest treasure hunters in the world and an expert in the art of heisting. Equally loved and despised, sought out for her talents and bountied for the same.

Current View:

Now, Carne has no love for magick. She found that she can channel her desires through sigils and avoids the use of geomancy if at all possible, despite being extremely skilled with it.  She works her magic into her attire via sigils for passive spells and finds that she can easily carve them into her surroundings or body when the highest need arises but for the most part, she's clever enough to avoid outright fighting. The only piece of her family she keeps now is a singular gold locket with the family emblem engraved on the front, and a portrait of her and her brother within. The one other identical locket in existence remains in Jasper's now hateful grasp. As far as she knows, her old friend Reed is still imprisoned and she makes life as inconvenient as possible for any of the Arcadian guard she comes across as an act of rageful spite.

Base of Operations:

Carne uses an ancient half buried train car in the middle of a large forest as her current base of operations.  In the early years of Arcadia, humans were still abundant and commonly found amongst the clouds. It was they (with the help of the dragons) who created the Rail of Arcadia, a track-less train that constantly flew the skies of Arcadia and never stopped. Today some pieces of the car can still be seen soaring overhead but most of them came crashing to the ground after the majority of the humans dissapeared. This is one such train car. Theyre a rare find and absolutely fascinated young Carne. Now, She conceals its location through runic magic and hides it from view in the same way so her hideaway will never be discovered.  This is where Carne hides her personal collection of treasures as well as anything valuable waiting to be sold or shipped out.
