Smoke`storm

Smoke`storm in an abnormally large, blueish gray tom with rough, thick fur covering almost every part of his body, especially around his neck, paws and hindquarters. He has narrow, green and amber eyes, and his face seems to be permanently carved with a furrowed expression and a scowl. He has a distinct white patch of fur that covers almost the left half of his face, which runs down his neck.

Though now hidden by his long fur, his back is covered in multiple faded, thick scars that runs down to his hindquarters. He also lost his tail and has a deep scar on his right thigh from helping Hare`trap (his father) attempt to kill the deputy.

Smoke`storm, born as Smoke`kit, his mother was a young molly with no experience of raising kits, thus he was raised mainly by his father, a noble and fierce Sc warrior who always yearned to be deputy. He raised smoke to be an ambitious, cunning and resourceful cat, eventually even mentoring him later in his life. Smoke grew up learning about the other clans through his father, who did not put them in a positive light, thus he has quite a prejudiced and stereotypical view of the other clans.

As a kit, his father would often want him to eat more than he can manage, hoping that itll make him grow up faster and stronger than the others. Smoke would dig up areas in the nursery den, dumping all the prey he couldn’t finish into the hole, and cover it up. This led him to discover how prey would decay when buried. He liked the idea of having momentos of his achievements, so everytime he caught something he was proud of, after eating it, he would bury the remainders of it under the ground he sleeps on and wait for a few weeks before digging it up and displaying his prize.

Once he wanted to wonder outside, so he tried crawling through the thorny bramble surrounding the nursery. His pelt was cut by sharp thorns, and fearing he would be caught, he struggled even more to get free, only managing to wedge himself further and become more injured. His mother found him just in time but his fur was already soaking with blood, which only solidified the fact that he would never want to be a medicine cat, or be the reason why another cat bleeds.

His injury caused his apprenticeship to be delayed for three moons. His father was disappointed to say the least, he had hoped his son would be his successor, to be a greater warrior than he was. But seeing how smoke was already injured badly, and had his apprenticeship delayed, he realised that his dreams of having smoke become deputy and him getting to live his life vicariously through his son were gone. He felt that the only way he or smoke would even be considered for deputy, would be to charm the leader, and then get rid of the current one.

As a warrior, his father would carry out his plan to try and kill the current deputy, but his other son, Ash`stream, found out about his plan and confronts him. Afraid that his son would betray him, he lures Ash to a secluded area of sc and kills him. Unfortunately, the deputy and a few other cats were on a night hunt, which led them to find the deceased body of Ash`stream. Out of desperation, his father attempts to frame the deputy for the murder but the other cats vouched for their innocence. Due to reports of seeing him exit the camp shortly after Ash`stream, the clan decided to exile him, and after finding out that Smoke was aware of the plan, he was almost treated with the same fate.

Luckily, his mother and best friend begged for him to stay and the leader took pity. Smoke still thinks of his father with high regard, though the mention of his name does make him ashamed. He tries to avoid any talk about his father, changing the topic or just walking away when confronted.

Smoke enjoys collecting cobwebs and the bones of the preys he’s eaten. His largest trophy is the skull of a fox, which he found after it had passed away during lead bare, he is very proud of it and will usually show it to his apprentices to impress them.
