Cero is my main persona! While he has some of his own lore that isn't particularly suited to the sona aspect, I treat him as the main representation of myself online.
Cero is a moth, no particular species. They're particulary suited to cooler weather, and enjoys feeling cozy and warm. He does his best to help where and when he can, but finds it difficult at times to express himeslf and his intentions properly.
As the deity representing the sky, Cero is of course able to manipulate weather and clouds. However, he also possesses the ability to produce, shape, and harden light into various shapes and constructs. He's perfected the ability, and is adept at molding it much like glassblowing or waterbending into whatever he feels he needs to!
Design
Please be aware Cero is going through some design changes! Their ref may not be entirely accurate until I make a new one; sorry! If you'd like, you can use the most recent images as references.
Cero comes in multiple forms, with a few different options. His design is quite varying and for the most part can be flexible!
Cero has a fairly soft build and despite good posture still only makes it to 5'1" tall (without the antennae, which add nearly a foot by themselves). The darker parts of his body are essentially skinlike; however, the chitinous areas are harder without sacrificing the ability to feel.
Design Notes
Cero comes in multiple forms, with a few different options. His design is quite varying and for the most part can be flexible!
- Cero's blood is golden and glows slightly, as do his eyes. Red blood may be used as well though!
- Cero's legs may be digitigrade or plantigrade!
- Cero may have a pair of smaller secondary arms placed below the main pair. These arms are thinner and lighter, and not meant as much for heavy lifting as they are for delicate work.
- Cero has four wings, which can be displayed as straight or furling (even so far as to cover him as a cloak would!).
- The mandibles by his mouth do no real extra work, and are mostly for display.
- Cero's teeth are sharp, almost like fangs!
- Their tongue is long and prehensile.
- Cero may be displayed as anywhere on the spectrum from human to regular form; as in, he may have a mixture of human and his usual traits!

History
Cero was born and raised to be the deity of the skies. Ever since he was young, he's had pressure on him to do the job he was expected to take on. And he did! They tried their best to please both the other gods and the people who they watched over. Every day he would create and mold the sky so many lived under, and every night he made sure the stars were enough to inspire even the most dour of the world's residents. It wasn't by any means a thankless job; the sky was one of the largest inspirations around, and they recieved plenty of tribute and recognition for their work.
But he was still a young god; only around since the first life began to recognize the sky, which was far more recently than some of his fellow gods like those of Time or Gravity. There was a clear split: the older, Primordial gods, forces of the universe that had no reliance on human worship were far, far older than the Pantheon, gods who were born of human worship and ideologies. Cero's Pantheon peers seemed content in their jobs, and he tried to be as well. Something always unsettled him, though. It wasn't that they didn't enjoy their job, but they felt unfulfilled. They didn't know if they wanted to do this forever, but they had no other ideas.
mortality
A change was needed. Cero had for so long watched the people far below, and he found them fascinating. After much consideration (he wasn't one to make decisions quickly), Cero decided he wanted to see properly how they lived to try and get a sense of his own purpose. They essentially banished themselves from the realm of the gods, keeping their power but locking much of it away under a deal with themselves: live as a mortal does for a while, perhaps a few years, and see what you can discover.
Cero was by no means devoid of his former status, nor were his duties abandoned. He was able to access his power again should the need arise, and left a trusted friend in charge of the sky after thorough instruction. In the meanwhile, he fell to Earth (quite overdramatically, really) and appeared as one of the humanoid inhabitants. While this world was inhabited by far more sentient species than just humans, they found it most fitting.
