Appearance:

 

Itsuki is a very tall man with avery lean frame. He has long black hair that is usually in a loose wild appearance with some covering the right side of his face. When he goes into battle Itsuki will pull back some of his hair into a top knot to have a clearvision. Itsuki has dark green eyes and a small goatee on his chin. He wears the standard shihakusho with the only difference being the Kagesaki emblem found onthe middle of his sash. Itsuki keeps his zanpakuto tucked into his sash behind his right hip. 

 

 

Personality:

 

Itsuki takes a while to open upto others. A very serious individual and very conscious of social standings, Itsuki never tries to over step his place. It is very easy for Itsuki to become embarrassed.

He is loyal to no end. Itsuki is willing to give his life for those who have earned his loyalty. He tends to geta little nervous when he is put into certain situations. When it comes to his duties, Itsuki is very detailed oriented and never cuts corners. Once he gets to know someone, Itsuki tends to be more relaxed and very easy to talk to. And he is always eager to help someone with their dream. Although Itsuki is a very honest person he tries to shield people from the truth if he thinks they can’t handle it.

 

 

History:

 

Itsuki had a bit of a lonely life. He came to the Soul Society alone and stayed that way. He never felt comfortable staying in one place for very long and didn’t feel like he belonged with anyone.. Itsuki would wander around doing odd jobs for any money or food. This was hit or miss as some of the money Itsuki made went back to pay for anything he might have broken in the process. It was after doing some work for a former shinigami that things started to turn for him. The old shinigami gave Itsuki something extra for a job well done, a sword. It was rather plain, in agray sheath a long sword with no guard but Itsuki loved it anyway as the first gift he had ever received. The new sword proved useful immediately. Practicing with it gave him something to do. While wandering from job to job Itsuki was often assaulted by groups of bandits. With his new sword in hand, Itsuki wasable to dispatch the bandits with relative ease. He had a natural talent for swordplay and fighting. 

 

Itsuki continued to work from job to job wandering about the Rukongai and on occasion even venturing into the Seireitei. Eventually his travels lead him to the Akiyama clan. They hired himon to help work on a large order of shihakushos for the upcoming academy graduation. Itsuki was able to make some shihakushos with only a few minor accidents. It was after a day of work, Itsuki was approached by Isamu Akiyama. Isamu was getting ready for some sword practice and wanted Itsuki to train withhim. Itsuki was hesitant to spar with the young man of the clan, but humbly agreed. The two cross their blades and began to exchange strikes. Although he had no formal training, Itsuki was able to match Isamu strike for strike and even began to push the young man back. At the end of their match, Isamu was notthe only one that was impressed. His sister Akane had watched the entire time. She noted Isamu did well for his first time fighting a physically stronger opponent and complemented Itsuki on his skills questioning who his master was. Upon learning Itsuki had developed his skills from fighting random bandits, Akane had a thought come to her mind. She had learned that the Kagesaki familywas looking for a bodyguard. Akane told Itsuki she would recommend him for thejob. Itsuki thought it would be an honor to work for a great noble clan and it might be nice not to move about for a while.  

 

The Kagesaki Estate wasimpressive and quite a bit larger than the Akiyama clan estate. This was not lost on Itsuki. He knew the Kagesaki clan was a powerful clan in the Soul Society. Itsuki was escorted into the heart of the Manor and waited to meet thehead of the clan, Mika Kagesaki. She had been assured of Itsuki’s skill by herfriend Akane. So, Mika decided to assign Itsuki to be the bodyguard to herlittle sister Ai. When he was introduced to his master Itsuki was surprised. Ai was instantly taken with Itsuki even treating him like a member of the family. Itsuki was moved by her show of kindness when he had one of his clumsy moments. Soon Itsuki was able to bond with most of Ai’s siblings as well. For all his searching he finally found a home

 

Soon Ai was to attend the Shino Academy and Itsuki insisted on going with her to watch over her. He would sit in the back of the classrooms and always give some distance to Ai so she could still interact with the other students normally. One day when a teacher was having trouble recalling where they had left off in their lesson Itsuki answered quickly. When they were done the teacher took Itsuki aside and thanked him. Shealso told Itsuki that if he was constantly attending the classes he might as well be a student as well. Then Ai appeared and handed him an academy uniform. Apparently,Ai and Mika had cleared it with the school for Itsuki to attend classes with Ai as her classmate.

 

Together Itsuki and Ai graduatedand were then assigned to Squad 6. In Squad 6 Itsuki and Ai both rose up the ranksquickly. After a few years they were offered positions in Squad 1. At first they were a little disappointed to learn the rank would be so low. But, it wasexplained that even a low ranked position in Squad 1 was the equivalent of a Lieutenantposition in other squads. Ai was given the 9^th seat and Itsuki the 10^th. Ai began to protest saying Itsuki was stronger, but he stopped her. He was proud that he had trained her to be strong on her own and she had finally passed him as her teacher. Now they were to fight together as partners.          

 

 

Zanpakuto-: Akizora (Autumn Sky)

 

Itsuki’s zanpakuto In its sealed form,  Akizora takes the form of a basic nodachi. It is very long, has no guard, and both its hilt and sheath are a light grey in color with dark green wrapping around the handle. 

 

Zanpakuto- Spirit: Akizora has the form of a very large falcon with dark red feathers and yellow eyes. He is much easier going than Itsuki. Akizora would always be there trying to convince Itsuki to stay in one place and develop bonds with people. He does respect Itsuki and his sense of honor. Because of this they were able to develop a relationship very quickly.

 

Inner Zanpakuto- World:

 

Itsuki’s Inner Zanpakuto worldis a long sandy beach surrounded by rocky cliffs on the ends and behind. Akizora is most often found on the rocky point jetting out in the surf. 

 

 

Shikai:

Akizora (Autumn Sky) After the release command “Tear them up, Akizora” (“Karera o hikisaku, Akizora”) Itsuki’s zanpakuto gains an oval shaped guard as well as the blade becoming wider. The drastic difference is the tip of the blade becomes a crescent shaped curve.

 

Shikai Attacks:

 

Hane Arashi (Feather Storm) Wind gathers in the crescent tip of Akizora’s blade. Then with a swing of the sword, sends out a barrage of small crescent shaped wind blades. 

 

 

Tatsumaki Giri (Tornado Cutter) Wind starts at the crescent tip and flows down the rest of the blade. With a swing, the entire wind blade is sent to the enemy. It has much more power thana single Hane Arashi

Itsuki’s name means tree. It was a bit of a mean nickname from some local children about his height.  

 

Although Itsuki is a very skilled warrior and swordsman, when it comes to normal life and chores he is on the clumsy side.

 

Itsuki had Isamu do him a favor and put the Kagesaki Clan’s Crest on his sash. This was shown as a sign of loyalty to their family.

 

He has let very few ever look at his sketch book.
