About (by LyssDraws02):

Solarkitties Are a Semi-Closed Species. Meaning you can make your own but you can’t sell them.

What are Solarkitties?
Solarkitty or Solarkitties are a semi aquatic species. They are a mix of Alligators, Cats and a little plant.
They are both wild and domesticated.
Wild Solar kitties are often found in dense forests near some source of water, river, pond, lake, or even ocean. Though they do spend most of there time on land basking in the sunlight.
The domesticated Solarkitties are no different. You usually find them on a window ledge or laying in the warmth of the sunlight. And when they have the urge to play in water they’ll make sure you know by meowing effortlessly, till you find them lounging in the sink, the bathtub or maybe even a big bowl.
Solar kitties have a unique climate control ability. They are able to draw sunlight in through there plates and then release it outward, as hot or cold air. When kept inside they are able to control the rooms temperature. Meaning these guys can live anywhere. No matter how hot or cold it gets.
Unlike their counter parts they survive off of sunlight and water. Food isn’t a necessity but if they want to they can eat just about anything. If it’s safe for you it’s safe for them.

Where did they come from? How did they get here?
Solar kitties come from another dimension. One filled with magic, where lore and legend are reality. As for how they got here?  No one’s really sure. The first siting was back in the medieval days.
A fisherman was out on the water pulling his net in, it was then when he snagged something big. He lifted the net from the water the Solar kitty tore free scaring the fishermen half to death and steeling away half of his catch. He told everyone in town about this beast. Telling the story of the half cat, half Alligator that almost took his life. The townspeople thought the old man had gone crazy and nicknamed his beast the Alligitty as a joke. They didn’t get the name Solar kitties until years later when A scientist discovered there abilities.

How where they domesticated?
An old woman, working her late husband’s farm come across what she thought to be a duck nest. As it was that time of year and her ducks loved to lay eggs around the pond. She gathered them up and brought them into her coop. Sliding them under her nesting hens.
After a few weeks and a forgetful mind, she was out feeding the goats when she heard a commotion coming from her coop.
She rushed in holding a broom prepared to attack whatever was harassing her hens. Only to stop dead in her tracks.  5 small solar kitties lye in her chicken nest surrounded by broken eggs.

How do they reproduce?
Well Solar kitties have three genders. Male, female, and They/them. They are capable of having offspring with out a mate and do so all the time to continue their lineage.
Like alligator’s they lay anywhere form 30-70 eggs in a clutch. Though only 2-12 will actually hatch. The genders of the kittens depend on the temperature of the nest. Experienced moms know how to keep the nest at a neutral  temp allowing them to have an equal amount of male and females. Inexperienced moms tends to have more of one gender.
