He came from Meteor City and joined the Gushiken mafia as one of Kazuko’s personal bodyguards.  He had a thing for her to the point of being delusional in his belief that they will get together when she came of age.   In order to keep “competition“ under control, this cold hearted snake used his silver tongue to get his way, and told lies that often got the other male bodyguards killed for crimes they didn’t actually commit.  He didn’t care that she is a minor - he was willing to wait the years no matter how long that may be.  For this reason, he absolutely hated Taiyumi (Tai), who later replaced him as Kazuko’s personal bodyguard.  Because she is not a guy, he had to devise other means as to how to dispose of her; little did he now this would eventually lead to his own demise.

Because he was partially blind in both eyes, Shu relied on nen serpents to locate and inject a target with his aura, which allowed him to probe their hearts to find what they feared most. He used that fear to cause hallucinations that drove his victim hysterical until they collapsed or took their life to end the suffering.  This ability had no effect on Kazuko, which led to him taking an interest in her- it didn’t help that he couldn’t see her well enough to gauge her actual age; by the time he realized there was such a huge gap between them, he was obsessed and didn’t care anymore.
