Salem’s ability is to be able to control people by kissing them {on the hand even world so it doesn’t have to be weird} After Salem has used the control ability it can be used for 2 days.  The control doesn’t have to be constant and usually is just something he can switch on and off 

Salems weapon is a bunch of puppeteer kind of strings attached to the puppeteer handles and he can use them like whips.
