Violet and Via grew up together and have been best friends ever since they were little. VIa had always been into fashion and kept up with her appearance. Via never got along with Violet's mother since they had very different views. Via opened a clothing shop full of clothing that she designed and created. Shortly ater her shop opening, Violet mentioned that she was to be married and needed a dress. She saw how distressed Violet was over her engagement and reluctantly agreed to make her dress. Before the completion of the dress, Via's shop was set on fire, burning everything in it. Needing to inform her that her dress was no more, Via set out to find Violet who she later learned had run away from home and was nowhere to be found. She was thrilled that her friend wouldn't be marrying someone she didn't know, but also sad since Violet was no longer around. months later Violet returned to her island and found Via. After their reunion she told Via about Jack and her travels. She also invited Via to join the crew and travel with her all around the world. Via quickly agreed and began traveling with Jack, Violet, and their crew. She also took up the role of designing their clohing using materials they found on their travels.
