Verus was created with what seemed like, the sole reason to be a dangerous and vicious Mecka meant to protect the citizens in Reef. However, he was no where near “ideal” look of a FB-XMF 031, and was considered a defect. This caused relentless harassment from the other models, who took pleasure initially giving him extra shit to deal with just because he was “different”. Nevertheless, he was still trained up with and worked with the 21 other FB-XMF’s. He turned out to be quite the fighter and surpassed many of their normal counterparts. Soon they stopped messing with him and left him alone. On one occasion for reasons that couldn’t be determined, 8 of the 22 were damaged and destroyed by Verus, however no evidence was able to prove he did. Why Verus was never deactivated is due to him being a 'defective' model and showing no real aggression like the others. Only the remaining 13 Meckas know that Verus decommissioned them.

Now on his own, Verus left to the caves again to settle down. He found an area that was pretty vacant and rented a house to stay in. On occasions he went up to the Reef due to the fact he lived there for quite some time training with his models. This is where he started gaining a clientele of rich Meckas in need for someone of his caliber. After a couple of notable clients, his once “side fling” because his full time job and gave him plenty of money to buy his house in the Caves in full and also a condo in a wealthy neighborhood in the Reef. While staying in the Reef, he saw auditions for a Metal Band called "5 Fin Death Punch" and went in to audition as the drummer, for which he was given the position on the spot. Nicknamed “Sabotage” now, Verus chose to play with them as a cover up to his other job but also to have fun in general. He lives up in the Reef for the most part, but his real home will always be in the caves.

When you think of a typical FB-XMF Mecka, Verus is not what you think of as he is most certainly the opposite of these monstrous models. Barely standing at 5’3, the darker colored Mecka definitely doesn’t get acknowledged for being a FB-XMF 031, and instead thought of as a more docile model goldfish or angelfish. The model is now discontinued so he is even more of a rarity, with few actually knowing of his real model identity.

Being so quiet even around close friends, Verus rarely shows his affection. He says he doesn’t do it because 'it’s useless', but it may just be that he doesn’t fully know when and how to give it. Usually he is rather blunt with what he says to others, but if you catch them on their good side you may hear a quick compliment about something. Don’t thank them because they will simply act like nothing happened. As much as she complains about people giving affection, some people will notice a very quick and subtle change to her gill color, but it only takes a few seconds for her to reel in the emotions and return to normal.

Although he stays deadpan and looks very weak, he can actually get insanely aggressive at times. He may not show you his aggressive behavior, but if he doesn’t like you or you are his target you won’t forget to let it out in full. Most of the time though his cold and distant personality makes him almost unapproachable, but if you talk enough to his face he may eventually get to know you. His colors may not be the brightest in a light atmosphere, his markings all over his body can illuminate at incredible speed and brightness, it’s quite the scare to see him all lit up in pitch black. Some who know him well enough joke that his aggression is the reason for the model’s discontinuation, and they might be onto something... He just sighs and continues on with whatever he is doing.

• Since his model is discontinued, Verus has now had to learn to fix broken plates on his body, as well as reprogram some of the LED’s that have burnt out on his own. He’s gotten good and repairing himself, the only exception is his antennae, in which the material used to give it its alluring glow. The broken antennae also became his signature feature for the band, and since fans know him for it he chooses to leave it as is.
• The most obvious detail that separates a FB-XMF 031 from other models is their fins and 4th intercostal rib. There are 2 dorsal fins, 4 pelvic fins, 2 anal fin, and the tail. The tail is long and pointed, with the bottom side of it projecting longer out than the top. The fins + tail also have this layer of synthetic material that can help “fan” out the plates of the fin. It can help with swimming. As for the uniqueness of the 4th intercostal rib, it has 3 pointed edges that project out and under immense pressure may start to turn pink.
• Because he learned to repair himself, Verus also grew to understand and mess around with upgrades and piercings too. All of the piercings on him are done by himself, and even some close friends can say they have some done by him.
• Verus can’t keep himself still, so he always is fidgeting with scrap metal pieces or screws in his pockets. Because of this habit he also began collecting screws and bolts to fidget with too.
• He is very talented at playing the drums, and has enjoyed playing since he was young. He got a custom set of drums made for the band and also a set for both of his homes, so he always is able to play. He has special drumsticks that have his signature engraved in them, along with a special pattern on the edge in relation to his unique rib.
• In his spare time Verus has gotten pretty good at spray painting. They don’t do it often, but when they see an open wall she gladly will go for one! Sometimes during breaks in practice members of Five Fin Death Punch may see her sketching up new ideas. But don’t go up to her or ask them to show you, she’ll close that book shut and snap at you.
