Early Life
As a child, Elm was born into a family that was heavily into trading and exchanging goods with other cities. Therefore his family was also very interested in other trade groups and amassing more stock to sell and trade. Elms mother was married to his father for reasons of trade and buisness, although his mother seems to not mind. He was born between his brother whom is older and his sister who is younger. As he was not an only child and was nor the oldest or youngest, he was not given much attention. He turned to books and writing for his hobby although he also often went out to talk to the townspeople of Atford as a child.
Teenage Years
As Elm grew, he was put into private school alongside his brother and sister to learn and continue the families buisness, although he would be handling paperwork. His older brother was much more in charge of leading while his sister would be the social butterfly. This led Elm to be more secluded within his hobbies and taking up a job in the largest Libary of the city; his parents were able to get him this job, in between hobbies and work he'd do paperwork for the families industry.
Early Adulthood
Once Elm became an adult, people around him started to notice his true beauty and gleaming appearance His family pestered him to visit him in another country, but he declined, mentioning that he had work at the library. He tidied his libary often, welcoming newcomers and introducing them to his favorite books, while in his free times he'd read and write of love and adventure, of a life outside of the cities walls. Elm one afternoon, meets a woman named Nanami Yasu. After a few days of her visiting alonside her bodyguard, she eventually walks up to him and speaks to him about the books she had been reading recently and they bond over the genres they both like. After knowing eachother for a bit, Elm realizes that he's starting to develop a crush on her and asks her to the yearly ball, where they dance.
Love?
Elm and Nanami become close friends, often spending some nights reading next to the fireplace in Elm's library. They'd speak together, she'd tell him stories of her adventures and nights where she would fight monsters and collect forgotten treasures. His eyes gleamed as she told him her stories and expressed herself excitedly. His heart burned with passion. All he could think of was brushing his hand through her hair, telling her how wonderful and amazing she was. He kept himself quiet, though, as he'd not had much experience with these kinds of things before. While one night they were asleep on his couch,Elm feels a slight movement and stirrs awake, finding himself face to face to Nanami. He relaxes slightly once he realizes where he is and his pulse quickens as he shifts towards her. He feels Nanami move a little before he pulls hiself around her in an embrace and kisses her.
Away
Nanami and Elm start dating, but only for a little while until Nanami has to leave again on a quest. A week into Nanamis quest, Elm's family manipulate him into visting him across the coninent. His parents threatened to take away his library job if he were to not go, so he did. Before he left, he placed a note on his desk for Nanami when she would return. He would safely make it to his families Estate where they had him work on paperwork for that branch of the company, allowing him to also work in the towns libary. He'd think of Nanami, and worried if she were to find his note.
A Disheartening Realization
It has been months since Elm last left his Libary and Atford. In his free time, he'd send notes through the families butler to send to Nanami, although he never once got a letter back. Within his time being here, he was introduced to a woman named Valerian, a beautiful silver-haired high elf that his family has betrothed him to. He at first avoided the talks his parents attemped to include him in, but months after all of the constant bother of his mother pestering him and the silence of Nanami, he stayed silent. He didnt want to marry this woman, even if she is both sweet and beautiful, but what if Nanami didnt even care that he was gone? He pondered to himself in his study and wrote of their times together, sunk into his chair every few nights, pulling his hair to his face in comfort. His parents would not be content if he did not marry within the year.
Former lover and close friend, they've been pulled apart due to Elm's Family. He yearns to see her again.
Trusted and strong friend, he trusts Authur to protect Nanami.
