Eclipse the Hedgehog

Project Eclipse was created by the great Dr. Robotnik. An almost successful attempt to recreate the Ultimate Lifeform known as Shadow. At this time, many other attempts continued to brew from his brilliant mind like the Shadow Androids. After the attack from Black Doom, Dr. Robotnik was closer than ever now that he had gotten his hands on the alien species' DNA. Project Eclipse was put on the backburner for Robotnik couldn't do much with a baby at this time, hoping that in years the next Ultimate Lifeform would grow up obedient to him.

Disgusted and unsure of what his past or future had in store for him, Shadow went on a rampage, destroying any and all Androids that got in his way. With Team Dark behind him, they set out looking for any Robotnik bases they could get their hands on- and stumbled upon a child. Unable to hurt this blonde double, Shadow decided to raise Eclipse. Living a life mainly in secret. Working at a chao garden during the day, training at night.
