Antonin has been, despite only being a teen himselfm when he started, the de facto leader of the Waywards almost since its conception. This role originally fell to Rhea Irving. After her disappearance he was scrambling to keep the group together and their shelter - an abandoned warehouse they "renovated" - running. He was a smart kid that spent most of his time outside of school doing courier work, using the money made to support his sister and legal guardian Natalia, as well as the Waywards. His remaining free time went to honing his skills at parkour, as nothing makes him happier than practically flying over rooftops and through alleyways, free and untouchable. It also played into his admittedly thrill-seeking tendencies.

When he was still a child his parents were murdered by hired killers that were surprised by the presence of their children and attempted to kidnap them. The mental and physical scars from this experience have left him deeply traumatized and dealing with PTSD. Together with his sister he subsequently lived with a certain woman in the woods of Slovakia who hid them until they were both presumed as dead, then smuggled them out of the country and helped them set up a new life in the US. While they live independently, they still get occasional visits from that woman's contact in Neither.

As an adult, Antonin's gotten a better grasp on identifying and handling his emotions. He's seems like he's mellowed out, but he's still as anti-authoritative as ever and holds grudges like a champ - he's just gotten cleverer about picking his fights. He still works as a courier, but now exclusively for Roman Pavlovsky at Knick & Knack.

ARC 1

Antonin's first identifying feature is his wavy, messy hair of the dusty brown variant that grows far too quickly. He tends to stand out, quite literally, as he's tall and lanky with long thin limbs; when sitting down anywhere he gives the impression of a folded lawn chair or big bird trying to fit itself into a space not meant for it. His narrow shoulders disappear under the oversized jackets he wears for comfort, and due to his generally thin frame he can squeeze into spaces that should not physically allow it (he once fit his entire body through a barred window). Despite looking like he can't hold his own in a fight, he has a surprising amount of hidden muscle in his legs, and his kicks are nothing to scoff at.

His round, "angelic" face is speckled with moles and, during his teen years, acne. The first thing people usually notice out about him are his big, bug-like, bright blue eyes that are perceived as unnerving by others. A long pale scar going along his scalp, ending at his forehead, is usually hidden by his mop of hair.

He doesn't have a very large wardrobe, and a pretty recognizable look - an oversized aviator or denim jacket, sweat- and t-shirts washed so often they're almost see-through, loose trackpants, and red chucks on the verge of falling apart.

ARC 2

As an adult he's let his bangs grow out, making his forehead scar  more visible. He usually keeps his hair at neck length, but when he  forgets to cut it he ties it back with a ponytail. His nose has a bump  from when it got broken and wasn't set properly. A complex branching  Lichtenberg scar runs from his chest to the back of his neck, faded to a  light pink over the years. He doesn't mind people looking at it or  asking questions, but won't talk about where he got it from.

Whenever he gets into an obsessive spiral over something he "forgets"  to sleep and eat, gaining intense eye bags and a downright sickly  complexion; but those have become less frequent these days with friends  keeping an eye on him. Usually, his skin is pale, but with a rosy glow.

Abilities

• Skills: Parkour, knife throwing.
• Physiology: Enhanced balance, hollow bone structure (avian physiology).

• Applications: He can create gusts of winds and even strong storms, but the latter especially takes a lot out of him. Usually he uses his gift to aid his parkour skills - gliding through the air almost weightlessly, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, accomplishing impossible landings. Additionally, he can direct the flight path of projectiles IF those projectiles are slow and light enough. As an adult, he's mastered this with most types of knives.
• Limitations: His bones are denser than a human's, but hollow, making them lighter and stronger, but also stiffer. A broken bone for him is difficult to heal as it doesn't break, it splinters. Overexertion leads to him passing out and staying dead asleep for at least a few hours, and a coma if pushed too far past his limit.

Relationships

ARC 1

Antonin isn't naive, but he takes people at their word and doesn't react kindly to it being broken. Only recently he's been burnt badly by his acquaintance with Rhea Irving. That wound is still fresh, and he's become a more cynical and reserved because of it. Still, he wants to trust and communicate with the people he loves, and finds his own inability to voice his thoughts sometimes very tiring. He loves his sister more than anything in the world, and is grateful for the family he's found in the Waywards. He doesn't make friends easily since his first impression is usually "weird bird cursed to inhabit a teenage boy's body" but is immediately ride-or-die for those he has.

ARC 2

He's friendly enough, quiet and polite to strangers, but if he dislikes someone, they'll feel it. Where as a teen he'd show open hostility though, he's now changed his tactics to saccharine sweet passive aggressiveness. Plan B is making people so uncomfortable they leave. He's a lot more guarded around strangers out of experience, but likes to show his emotions on his sleeve around his friends, as he knows he can trust them with it.
