Flint was a sickly kit, and it was easy to see why, having grown up in the dank back alleys of the city. Flint was cared for by their uncle through most of their kithood, and though most often he scavenged for scraps from the twoleg trash, whenever Flint was feeling particularly bad, their uncle would bring them back a pigeon from their high perches among the roofs. The pigeons never really helped Flint recover, but knowing that someone cared about them enough to catch one of the difficult birds for them always put a little hope back in Flint's heart. Even now as Flintriver lives in the woods, nothing makes them feel better faster than the taste of a freshly caught pigeon.
