he's killing beaver's brother, hes much smaller and very enthusiastic compared to his brother who is constantly a downer.
in his tribe of cats who, when they come of age earn a name and place in the tribe alongside their family and friends by fighting, hunting, protecting or taking down a creature of significance. examples being their tribe leader Gator King killing a alligator to restore the water supply to their power or when their healer Snake Charmer who hunted down and found a snake that had bitten and poisoned one of their tribe members so Charmer could make an antivenom.
Since a young age Bear has been excited and waiting for the day to claim his kill and name.
Killing Bear... never really fought a bear. He was just lucky to have come across a young bear cub separated from its mother and on its lasts leg. Killing Bear took the shot and took town the sickly cub and claimed it his name. He was hasty and excited and didnt want to wait a moment to be recognized by his tribe even if his kill was a bit pitiful. (it also didn't help that his brother KB had already gotten his pelt and Bear felt he was falling behind)
