Luca isn‘t his true name, but as time passes it becomes harder and harder to tell what „true“ really means.

He's the host of Invidia, the demon of Envy – his envy of other people, his wish to be someone else, has made him a people pleaser devoid of any personality he can call his own, always filling in the gaps and becoming what other people expect him to be. It makes him the perfect spy, always slipping under the radar, being the plus one people forget to count, and when he's gone nobody remembers he was even there. Nobody can ever remember his face, they forget it as soon as they look away.

Due to his desperate desire to be loved and the influence of Invidia, he‘s abandoned most of his original personality to become a blank slate, someone who is pleasant and likeable at first glance but ultimately so plain that he leaves behind no lasting impression.

Under his agreeable facade lies a lot of resentment for the people around him. He seeks what everyone else seems to have – human connection – but at this point believes he will never attain this. Both because he is unloveable and because nobody is worthy of his love.

He has lived like this for so long now that it‘s become safe familiarity, that he lashes out at any sign of genuineness.
