Flame was a fighter from the shadowsuki hive, she was very hot headed and energetic when she was younger, often getting herself in dangerous situations to try to prove herself. During one of these situations, she was almost killed by a griffon before being saved by Black Glass, who she soon became very close to.

As she grew older she got a lot calmer, spending more time in the hive and with her sister Autumn. She had three kittens with Black Glass; Oleander, Dust Cloud and Mirror, and would often bring them gifts from her little adventures with Black Glass. In one of these adventures while picking flowers they were attacked by two basilisks, she fought them bravely before being killed by the only one left standing, never being able to deliver the flowers she found.

Flame is very calm and kind to everyone. She doesn't like fighting and does her best to talk everything out. However she is not afraid to attack non-cats, especially when lifes are on the line. She hardly ever kills other animals, but she gives them many scars to remember her by. Flame is very cheerful and calm, it's a bit hard for strangers to tell if she's cheerful because she's tired or if she just has a very calm personality.

Despite being very calm and reasonable, when she was younger she would get into all sorts of trouble with Autumn, and has broken or twisted her wings and paws many times.

She's sensitive to bright lights, so she avoids looking at the direction of the sun, and during cloudy days she covers her entire face with her hair tufts when outside.

Flame was born alongside Autumn in the hive of the shadowsukis, she was always very energetic, and her and Autumn loved to get in trouble together. She would sometimes venture out the hive to hunt for animals despite not being good at it, and sometimes she scared off animals that the hunters were trying to catch. But the safety of the hive was so good that she couldn't help to trying to prove herself a good fighter, so she occasionally attacked animals such as griffons and manticores completely unprovoked.

One day, a hunting patrol went too far away from the hive and was attacked by griffons, they managed to flee but were left wounded. Enraged by this, at night, Flame sneaked out of the hive and went in direction of the savannah, there she saw a griffon flying alone, like usual, she tried to attack it to give it warning scars, but she failed to catch it off guard, ruining her advantage over it. The griffon fought her and almost killed her, that's when she was saved by Black Glass, who swooped in from the shadows and attacked the griffon, and it flew away due to it's already deep wounds. She had a few interactions with Black Glass before that, but they have never been too close, they chatted about a lot of things while Black Glass used leaves to close her wounds temporarily, and spent the night in a burrow because of Flame being too injured to fly back home, and Glass not being strong enought to take her back by himself.

After they went back home and Flame was treated by the healers, her and Glass started to hang out together, and after a near-death experience she became less of a trouble maker. She started to explore the hive itself, sometimes finding shining objects, snail shells, and many other small things inside the cracks. Autumn also taught her how to make certain small tools to pass the time and help members of the hive with their daily tasks. For the first time in her life, Flame didn't feel like she needed to put herself in danger to feel important.

Eventually Flame and Black Glass had three kittens, who they named Oleander, Mirror and Dust Cloud. They spent a lot of time with them and would sometimes fly them in their backs while their wings were too small so they could know what flying felt like, and Autumn would take care of the kittens when they were too busy/tired or when they occasionally left the hive to bring them gifts like flowers and shells, Flame made sure her kittens were happy the best she could, and made sure to give them the best life possible.

One day however, while they were out finding flowers to give their kittens, especially to Oleander, they were caught of guard by two basilisks, they tried to flee but Black Glass was grabbed by his tail and shoved back to the ground, Flame flew back desperately to try to save him, but it was too late, he managed to fight back, but died soon after. In rage, Flame fought the basilisks, mortally wounding one of them, and being poisoned by the second. She fell on the floor, looking at Glass' body, next to the flowers they had gathered for their kittens, flowers that would now never be delivered.
