Kemu Reimei (Kemu & Marmoris)

Marmoris noticed Kemu singing during one of Former Hell's celebrations, falling in love with the sound of her voice before she had seen her. She befriended her that day, needing a tour guide for the unfamiliar landscape. Kemu didn't fall for her as quickly, but when she did, Marmoris' intellect and charisma attracted her. Ultimately, her patience and consideration with Kemu is what won her over.

When they started as friends, they clicked very quickly, Marmoris especially invested in getting to be around her or inviting her to Gensokyo's surface. They'd started out sightseeing and learning about the others' lifestyles. Still, Marmoris was the more extroverted one, not minding taking the lead, but Kemu was evidently a withdrawn person physically due to her messy smoke abilities.

Kemu allowed hugs and being shoulder to shoulder, but always made an effort to not touch things with her own hands, afraid she'd make a mess. When she had a clear crush on Marmoris, being flustered meant she'd cover things in soot more, trying to make a distance to avoid it. Marmoris didn't mind it, and by embracing her nature, Kemu learned it was fine to be in a relationship afterall.

Marmoris prefers to be on the same level in relationships, never wanting to deliberately be in charge without consulting Kemu, who she respects greatly. Maybe it's because Tengus think too much about their hierarchy, and Marmoris doesn't want to enforce that. She likes that Kemu lets her talk on and on, and likes to touch her so Kemu knows Marmoris is comfortable being close to her. She holds her hand any chance she gets, already having dark fingertips so the smoke doesn't phase her.

Valuing transparency the most in a relationship, Kemu prefers to see and believe romantic gestures, and likewise show them that way herself. She isn't doubtful, but hearing words of affirmation, or simply hearing her name is enough for her to assure she's close with Marmoris. Bashful with words herself, she just tries to stay close with Marmoris physically, and these days she can't help but touch her soft wings a lot.

• Mija is sort of like their adopted child, but to be honest she is more responsible than both of them.
• Kemu blushes the easiest, and Marmoris only blushes when she notices Kemu doing it first, as if it's contagious, not intially aware if she is doing something romantic.
• Marmoris has a habit of getting hiccups easily, which Marmoris thinks is really cute.
• Both have become masters of reading the others' body language; Marmoris can tell if Kemu is extra quiet and when she wants something, and Kemu can tell if Marmoris is having a good day based on what she wants to eat.
