Sena was born and raised in America under the name Ayn Rand. Her family worked in association with the Guild and Sena had become close friends with Fitzgerald's daughter, however, at the time Sena did not have complete control of her ability and while the two girls were playing Sena's ability went out of her control and killed Fitzgerald's daughter. Sena then fled America for her life and ended up in Japan, she changed her name and was eventually became one of the orphaned children Oda would adopt, wanting to help with expenses Sena decided to join the Port Mafia. After Oda's death, Sena decided to leave the Port Mafia with Dazai, seeing him as her last connection to Oda and the happiness she had living with him and the other orphans. Along with Dazai, Sena joined the Armed Detective Agency where she remains.
