They were cast out of their village as a result of unintended side-effects cause by one of their potions. Ivor lives out their exile in the thick jungles of Mayuppo. It's not so bad, as many ingredients can be found naturally there. Ivor does miss being part of a community though, even though they were never very social. The one Ivor misses the most is their niece, Agrippa. For the rare visitor, Ivor will happily brew a potion in exchange for news from the outside world.
