Seraphina Folais is a radiant presence in the usually grim Araneida Manor where she lives with her betrothed. Though only a noble by name, she still possesses an innate grace and elegance that captivates those around her.
PERSONALITY
Seraphina wears both her personality and heart on her sleeve at every hour of every day. She's an optimist in every sense of the word and lights up any room that she's in. If she's truly passionate about something, she throws her entire being into it until she's satisfied.
In stark contrast to her fiance, Seraphina is a complete social butterfly. She openly enjoys her lavish life, often attending galas and parties and going on day-long extravagant shopping sprees. She spends much of her days in conversation with anybody she feels like, be it commoners or houseservants.

BIOGRAPHY
BACKSTORY
Seraphina Folais, or simply Seraphina, was born and raised in the city of Mockingfell, or "The Walled City." Born to Dominic Da Ville and Laurel Folais, she was raised in isolation from the rest of the world. She led an uneventful childhood, although she was known to be clumsy. Constantly breaking things around the city and her general tendencies to cause destruction caught the attention of the Goddess Ku-Aya, who granted her a Gift of Shadow; Corruption. Seraphina didn't understand nor want her Gift, and this caused even more destruction in her wake. It all culminated for her at the age of 20, when using her Gift sapped the energy from her father Dominic and killed him. Realizing the true power and potential of her Gift, she used it to collapse part of the Mockingfell Wall and escape. Her journey took her days, but she eventually reached the capitol of Aervana. She spent nearly 6 years doing what she could to get by in the slums of the city; learning their ways and trying to make friends, but all in vain due to the fear she instilled because of her Gift. It was on a fateful rainy night that she encountered someone on the plateau of Aervana; someone that looked at her without fear, but admiration. Not weariness, but respect. He introduced himself as Epithet and took her under his wing. He gave her shelter from the cold and a bedroom to call her own after six years of living on the streets. Seraphina gained a quick adoration of the man who'd taken her in, and now owes him her life. Over the course of two years, she trained her Gift so that it wouldn't accidentally hurt anyone anymore. She currently serves as Epithet's right hand man and is hardly ever seen without him.
CORRUPTION
A Gift of Darkness, Corruption lets its user destroy anything that comes into contact with it. The inky black substance created can take any shape, but disappears quickly once the user isn't touching it. Using this Gift drains energy from the user, however the user can choose to instead drain energy from creatures near them to the point of death. It steals the energy from any living thing corrupted and transfers it to the user. Is always fatal if used directly on a person. If the user loses control, whips of the inky substance lash about uncontrollably until the user regains control or until it drains so much energy from the user that their heart can't beat anymore.
RELATIONS
Epithet and Seraphina have only known each other for close on two years, but they have quickly become known across Aervana for being inseperable. Even in the comfort of the Araneida Manor, they spend more time in each other's company than not. Their relationship has been hotly debated ever since Seraphina became his right hand man, but nobody knows the truth for sure.
Though Seraphina does not have intimate knowledge of why Mania and Epithet despise each other, she feels as though she knows enough. Despite having formerly lived on the streets herself, Seraphina feels little more than disgust for those who steal from others to get by.
Seraphina knew Chaser when they were both children- after all, it's hard to forget your own sibling. Seraphina knew him by a different name, though, and almost couldn't believe her eyes when he showed up on the Manor's doorstep with her husband's stolen amulet. She wants to reconnect with him, but finds that they have very little common ground.

- Keeps trying to bring cats into the Manor. Epithet is extremely against this.
- Is the reincarnated version of a god's previous lover. That god isn't very happy that Seraphina is in love with somebody else...
- She loves all things that glitter and shine, and she owns closets full of jewelry.
- If she existed in our world, her nationality would be Italian/English.
- Her gift is a gift of darkness. The goddess that gave her this gift is the one that keeps trying to off Seraphina's husband.
