Ran'i

[WIP / new DnD character]

she/her, 23 years old

Ran'i is a young woman in service of the mage Nureddin. While living in a small desert village, she was taught to fight in order to become a protector for Nureddin's adoptive son Saidi (AF link). She enjoys training with various weapons, but her true passion is for plants. Her favorite work is to take care of Nureddin's herb garden and she takes every chance she gets to learn more about all kinds of plants and their properties. This has led to a few unfortunate events where she poisoned herself because she ate an unknown plant...but she doesn't give up on her research!

Character-wise, she is very polite and slightly reserved, usually not showing a lot of emotion, but when you talk to her about her hobbies she can suddenly show a lot of enthusiasm. She takes her role of protecting Saidi very seriously and this also extends to her other travel companions like Amrún and Salem (AF links). However, when a situation overwhelms her, she will run away and hide in the sand.

One day she wants to become a botanist and travel to faraway countries with more plants and less desert. 

Character notes:

  Ran'i can fight with swords, daggers, bows and blowguns

  She has one moon-shaped earring on her right ear

  She received a magical henna design on her arms and face from a god connected to the moon and life! The design is fixed but feel free to simplify it or give her gloves to hide it :D

  If a situation overwhelms her she will run away and hide in the sand

  She usually wears practical clothes for fighting and working around the house, she doesn't own anything pretty or girly although she would secretly love to try it out
