Magical Ranking:

  • Morgo (320 - 479)
  • Morgo are the second ranking Gallinishee, having the ability to conjure non-living material constructs or items, cast modestly strong spells and enchantments, and/or brew potions and elixirs. Those who are born into the level of Morgo have a natural knack for magic wielding (still requiring focus and concentration), the higher level Morgo can be rather formidable in power with experience and mentoring, but all, like their sister Nini must have their magical item on them to perform magic. If a Morgo chooses to apprentice they will follow the mentorship of a Magi.

Basics:

  • Name: Mazla
  • Nickname: The Sunshine Sweetheart
  • Magical Specialty: Microclimates
  • Companion CeeSee: N/A
About:

Mazla is a sweet-natured Nishee, as sunny and bright as her golden coat.  She's quiet and patient, preferring the company of plants to people.  Her quarters are warm and humid, being largely given over to the care of plants both mundane and magical.  Mazla's magical specialty is the creation of microclimates, small pockets of controlled weather conditions that allow otherwise finicky plants to thrive.  Mazla can only handle weather manipulation over small areas--1 to 2 square feet per climate, with only a small handful of climates at a time. When in a rare moment of anger, she tends to change the temperature immediately around her, subtly making it uncomfortable for whoever is bothering her.  (Mazla is fairly immune to temperature-related discomfort.)  If that doesn't work, she has no compunction in sharply raising the local humidity to inflict a bad fur day!

Mazla lends her specially grown herbs out to other Nishee for use in potionmaking and spells, preferring to leave the chemistry to her fellow magic-users.  She doesn't ask payment for this service--growing the plants themselves is its own reward--though she happily accepts gifts of tisanes or potions for her own collection.

When not in the garden, Mazla loves cooking, putting her ability to create localized heat to good use in preparing fanciful sweets with only the freshest of ingredients.  She's also a bit of a gossip hound and loves covertly keeping up with the latest and spiciest rumors . . . though she'd never admit it!

Trivia:

  • Mazla's name comes from масло, meaning butter.
