Captain of a group of seafaring adventurers known as the "Flying Waves". Heroic, with a temperament as shifting as the sea winds, Huo Zhan is a weapons enthusiast and sea monster slayer who constantly challenges the definition of Impossible. He loves his ship and collection as if they were his own children.

His tunnel vision towards his goals is usually balanced out by his better half, who tends to firmly rein him in before he burns everyone else out. His crew may not listen to him as much as his first mate but his deeds and battle prowess have garnered him a degree of loyalty and respect.

Several generations of Huo Zhan's family have been stranded on Tianya, the islands at the edge of the world. They have been trying to leave and return to the main continent ever since. Huo Zhan is determined to succeed and triumph over the monster infested waters where his predecessors failed.
