Butch is your avarage Groke. He seems stern and emotionless on the outside, but is actually a nice guy inside. He was a caring husband and loving father when he was alive.

Butch is big and bulky, with a slightly hunched back. His cape is dark pirple in color. His eyes are yellow.

Cassidy

Butch's mate and wife. He loved her dearly from day one and was always a kind and loving mate to her. His last thoughts were of her.

Smiles

Smiles is Butch's and Cassidy's son. Butch loved Smiles from day one and was always there to protect him and hunt for him. His last thoughts were of him.

Reaper

Reaper and Butch could be seen as friends, even when they rarely communicated.

Backstory

Not much is knows about Butch's origins. Even he himself doesn't remember where he came from or who his parents were. Only thing he knew is that he had been travelling with Reaper as long as he remembered. The two would hunt together and be constantly on move to evade be hunted themselves. Butch would rarely communicate with Reaper, while Reaper would constantly be muttering and hissing about things he hated. Being in contact with someone who was already cold caused Butch to slowly gain cold himself. That was until one day they made it to a valley where they met two female-Grokes. Butch took an imidiet liking on one of them, and his instinct told him to try to court her. He did try, at first attempting to bring her meat he had hunted. When he notices she didn't like meat, he started bringing her fruit and berries instead, and that went down a bit better. Eventually the two started to spend their time with each other, and Butch almost forgot Reaper even excisted. One day his mate started carrying around a small fluffy bundle. He didn't understand where it came from, but his instinct told him to protect it at all cost. The small bundle turned out to be a baby Groke with the same yellow eyes to his own. Butch found himself happy and warm for the first time in his life.

As the baby boy was growing, and no Groke can survive on fruit alone, Butch would go hunting every once ina while. Unfortunately, now that he and Reaper were no longer on the move, the hunters caught up to them. One hunting trip ended Butch's life. The last thoughts he had before dying were worries for who would protect his mate and baby now? Who would hunt for the baby now? Would the hunters also kill them? Butch drifted to eternal sleep with worry in his heart.

Trivia

"Butch" is not an actual name of the Groke, but a nickname used in the story.

Butch's mind may be in more primal state than of the Grokes around him, but he still dearly loved his mate and child.
