Ran

Ran, the Red Joker Card, plays a major role throughout the entire first part of the card series, the first entry being called "Stolen Cards". She makes appearances both in young Orchid's dreams along with in battling the other card holders, even providing most of the dialogue near the end. She is noted for always having a grin on her face, one Orchid described as "eerie" and, at times- when Ran would come close to killing her in her dreams- "blood-thirsty". Ran's age is unsure, but usually estimated to be around 19-21, varying based on one's personal judgement. While the black joker card's weapon of choose is usually a saw, as he usually takes lives via experimentation (there is a very iconic card series scene many readers of the series recall where he saws off another card holder's arm), Ran prefers a scythe, as she prefers to take more people's lives during head-on battles.
