Nothing a few pecha berries can't fix..!

Present

A poison type gym leader, often very late in the gym order if not the eighth. They have no qualms with training 1-on-1 with their pokemon, and at this point insist that they've developed an 'immunity' to poison. They haven't- it's really their regular intake of pecha berries that keeps them going. Despite thinking they're the best thing since Professor Oak, their studies aren't very official and no research organizations will listen to what they have to say. That doesn't really bother them, as they're perfectly fine simply showing their prowess on the battlefield instead.

History

They grew up on Ula'ula island, within Malie City specifically. They had very little restrictions placed on them and as such simply enjoyed roaming the island, learning much of what they know simply by watching others. It was at the recycling plant that the workers showed her how to catch a pokemon- her first partner being an alolan grimer. As she trained with it she gradually grew a greater interest in poison types as a whole, and began to travel in order learn more about them. During her studies they came across information on ultra beasts, and it was here that her research began to go off the deep end. Even now that they've obtained Nihilego, the ultra beast has only spurred her on further.

  • Her ace is a shiny toxicroak, whose facial patterns inspired her glasses.
  • Their gym is themed around potions, and combining liquids of different colors to create the correct kind.
  • Her pants are based on alolan muk after her first partner.
  • Gets poisoned on a regular basis, but at this point isn't phased by it.
