Starting Age is 32 Moons and Birthday is June, 2019

Freeze is DFAB and her name came from her old swampclan name, Dewfreeze. The dew part had originally been after the soft, rainy morning she was born on before being dropped while Freeze was from her cold, yet sharp personality.

She is a blue-grey tabby with white socks of varying sizes, some white stripes and white on her chest, ears and tail tip. Her build is quite muscular, built more for strength over anything else. However some of this muscle is a bit hidden due to her rather long fur.

As for scars, Freeze has her fair share. Several small ones are hidden beneath her fur, but larger, noticable ones are the bite on her shoulder, her torn ear, and old claw wounds. The claw marks are on her leg, across her muzzle and the largest one is the one wrapping from her chest to by her stomach.

Freeze, despite her scars, is rather healthy and doesn't have any serious impairments. If one were to nitpick, sometimes the hearing on the side with the torn ear can be a bit weaker, but it's not enough to cause any problems.

Loyal, Confident, Clever

Despite not being the friendliest cat out there, Freeze tends to be loyal to those she follows and tries to give them the benefit of the doubt in most cases or follow until she can't excuse things any more. Besides that, often Freeze tends to be clever when it comes to certain plans, maybe not in regards to socializing, but fighting shows it well. She tries to guage when fights are worth going forward with and how or, on the flip side, when they should leave. It helps that she also doesn't give up easy, confident in her ability to come out on top when needed.

Strongwilled, Loner, Slightly Pessimistic

Freeze is quite clearly more of a loner, prefering to stick to herself and not being too keen on socializing. She doesn't even really like being told what to do if a cat isn't above her in authority. She likes to do what she wants to at the time she feels up for it unless it'd interfere with her job or orders at the time. Her views tend to also skew towards that of the negative, not being one to hope for the best if it clearly won't be happening.

Holds a grudge, Overworks, Lacks Social Awareness

While Freeze is usually loyal, it isn't a promise and once her favor is lost it's hard to win it back. She doesn't forgive anyone too easily and can hold a grudge for a long, long time depending how badly she is hurt. Often her lack of socialization has lead her to not be as aware of tones or what is a proper response. Freeze can mistake good intentions for bad sometimes and she can be a tad tempermental due to it. Often this results in her overworking, pushing herself to the limit to do something she knows she is good at and keep up with her skills.

History

TW for death and mention of murder! Be warned

0-5 Moons

Meadowgaze and Strikestorm were proud parents to a decent sized litter, the biggest of which was Dewkit. It was clear she took after her father’s side of the family, most of which were very large and her father held high hopes for her following in his footsteps to be a very strong warrior for Swampclan.

Luckily for him, Dewkit always seemed to hold a high interest in fighting, so often needing to be told to stop playing rough with other kits as she tended to forget that she was so much bigger to them and in return stronger.

Strikestorm instantly swore to help her become one of the best warriors, being extremely proud of his daughter showing off skills in fighting, even if it was impossible to tell at that point if it was a tend that would continue. She was only a kit after all, but her father wouldn’t hear of it. His kits were strong and intelligent, Dewkit was proof of that fact.

Dewkit didn’t really know what the fuss was at first, but the love from her father made her want to be the best she could, to earn his pride and be the prefect child. If this meant mastering fighting, then she was going to do it no matter the cost!

6-11 Moons

When Dewpaw was assigned to a warrior, no one was surprised that she decided to stick with it. She was clearly a big cat like her father and that easily gave her an advantage while all the apprentices were starting out. Strikestorm was happy to see this, training her in every tactic he knew to overcome an opponent.

Although he hadn’t been meaning to, the constant praise and being such a good fighter right off the bat did start to negatively affect her behavior. Her father was giving her extra lessons in fighting, so that ontop of her normal training took up a lot of her day and didn’t give her much room to interact with her peers.

A clear divide was being set, only made larger by the way she continued to brag about her skills and rubbing it in other’s faces whenever she would beat them in a fight. Often her father encouraged this, not seeing the problem when his daughter was telling the truth. In his eyes, she was right and often he would help her think of clever comebacks for when another apprentice would get in her face.

By the time she was reaching the end of her apprenticeship, Dewpaw was overconfident and borderline arrogant about her skills, making it impossible to make friends. She didn’t really care much at the time, for she was Strikestorm’s golden child. Now she was even going to be a warrior alongside him, able to learn whenever she wanted and protect her pack like her mentor and father taught her.

12-32 Moons

Dewfreeze was given her name for her icy tone of voice and, in her father’s words, the way she could freeze other opponents in battle. For a moon this felt perfect, she couldn’t imagine anything better than being able to do what she knew best without needing to get permission.

This didn’t last long, as about a moon later her father was killed by a rogue that had been stealing prey. The killer had gotten a lucky shot at his throat and Dewfreeze was broken by the lost. Her father was the most important person to her, other than the rest of her family of course. He helped her so much and just knowing some no good rogue had been the one to end his life? She couldn’t stand it.

As soon as she had discovered where this rogue was, Dewfreeze hunted them down and without hesitation began to lash out, aiming for nothing less than to kill them. She wanted justice and nothing less than that could do, not for the one who gave her everything.

To put it simply, Dewfreeze was lucky that the rogue was already injured as she severely misjudged how hard it would be to fight an actual opponent. The previous injuries on the other were the only thing that made it so the she-cat could make it out alive as the winner, leaving with a very serious wound to her chest and stomach.

It was made worse when the deep slash got infected, putting her out of duties for a long while to be able to properly recover and make sure she could heal correctly. During this she realized just how bad she misjudged and her confidence and mental state took a large hit, making her more irritable when it came to social situations. She didn’t like to admit she was wrong about how good of a fighter she was.

When Dewfreeze finally was able to get out of the medicine den, she trained more than ever before to get back into shape. She had loss some of her skill, but she was determined to get it back and this time actually make sure that she’d be good. This time she wasn’t going to let her ego get infront of her, but this same thought is why she overworks as much as she does. No matter how long she train, part of Dewfreeze feared it wouldn’t be enough.

At 20 moons old, the fight between Swampclan and the other two had reached it’s height and she didn’t hesitate to fight for her clanmates. Sure, she didn’t agree with everything Irisstar did, but that didn’t make it right for them to be chased out! They belonged in the swamplans, it was their home.

The she-cat felt lost when eventually Swampclan lost the battle, cats scattering all over in the retreat. She didn’t know what to do, which is why she choose to join Shard when the opportunity came by. It wasn’t like before, but it was enough to give her a feeling of belonging somewhere.

When she joined, she dropped the ‘dew’ part to her old name and simply goes by Freeze now, wanting to be as strong as a winter storm with an icy bite to match. Although her father was gone, she still wanted to make him proud. There is a bit of a hollow feeling with realizing she doesn’t have much after the fight, but she tries to not think about it.

Freeze now does the best she can to prove herself a loyal member of the Pack, often overworking herself as a way to cope since she isn’t good at socializing much. There have been a few attempts, but mainly she tries to simply focus on hunting and fighting since it is a lot easier than approaching someone who likely won’t enjoy talking to her in the end.

33+ Moons

Rp Starts Here

One of the first large events Freeze heard while being in the pack was when Shard announced the death of Morningstar, which was apparently done by 'the Wraith'. Freeze wasn't really sure about if they should be trusting this... stranger, but she didn't really have any room to argue and she wasn't upset at the death.

What started Freeze's worry about where she allied her self came when Shard not only announced he had a daughter, but put the child in charge of them. Sure the reasoning of finding more cats made sense, but Glass was rather young and she didn't know if she'd have enough leadership experience to handle their group. It seemed like too much of a risk.

This thought was however put to the test very shortly, when Glass' first meeting with outsiders brought a fight with two coyotes. Glass had first said for them to leave, but Freeze had verbally gone against that by pointing out the risk of them being followed. A bold move in hind sight, even if she felt it was neccessary to bring up the flaw in retreating.

In the end, Glass seemed to at least accept this and they managed to kill one of the coyotes and left the remaining one while it was rather hurt, as it had called for aid. Freeze thought about staying to continue to fight, but with the rest of the pack leaving she didn't feel like trusting outsiders and she had been pushing her limits. She had to be put on rest for a while after it from how she had been tossed like a ragdoll.

It was around this time as well that Freeze had been asked to be a sentry for a prisoner in the pack. Most hadn't known about her at the time, though she felt a lot of conflict from this. As much as the she-cat wanted their home back, resorting to kidnapping and torturing cats for info felt like a step too far. Freeze accepted the position to at least be informed of what was happening and it's led to quite a bit of guilt and remorse. This step too far pushed her to be even more distrustful of Glass and her 'methods'.

Unsurprisingly, this plan was flawed and soon enough Sheepstar had escaped from where she was kept prisoner and she, Talos and Adonis were one of the groups looking for her. Freeze had already disliked Talos a decent bit from how he had treated Sheepstar, but this only further proved her point. How Adonis could deal with his brother was beyond her, he just seemed like a vial creature. Still, despite her hatred, Talos' tracking did lead to them finding Sheepstar being attacked by rats. It was simply enough to kill them off, but in the end the prisoner had suffered a really bad head injury which caused amnesia. She had no clue what was happening and Freeze did feel bad for her.

This new development of amnesia and the discovery that Glass was keeping the Forestclan leader prisoner led to many arguements during a meeting. Freeze couldn't bare to go herself, but she had later heard the outcome which involved Sheepstar being placed as and omega in the pack thanks to her loss of memory. Freeze can't say she likes the idea all that much, yet it seemed to beat outright killing her as well.

The amount of changes and new information coming to light as really created a dilemma for the she-cat. While she hated the clans for the response they had to Irisstar's actions and how desprately she wished to go home, she's been finding it hard to agree with Glass' actions. There was however a break when she didn't think much about this, focused on something much bigger then Glass. The Pack had hit with a sickness that left most of the pack unable to help or at least struggle to be of help. Freeze herself was feeling the sickness, but she fought as much as she could in order to help others.

Thankfully, although she wasn't of much help on her own patrol, the pack had been able to discover that something from the monsters had been contaminating their water and, in return, the prey as well. Many patrols gathering herbs were of great help as well and Freeze for a while thought that she was pretty close to recovering, only having minor symptoms for a few weeks.

During this time, the pack was told of another change that would be happening to try and get more information about the clans. They would have a group named Bogclan move into the swamps, filled with cats that wouldn't be recongized.

Freeze found the idea to be outright stupid. There was simply too much risk to a plan like that, especially when no Swampclan cats could go. What if these strangers claimed the lands as their own? Sold out the remaining swampclan cat's plans to keep it all for themselves? What would happen if Forestclan or Mountainclan discovered it? Surely then would lead to the same result as the battle so many moons ago. The she-cat couldn't understand why Glass would, even if Irisstar is apparently reaching out her her.

Somehow her distrust and dislike of the alpha has gone unnoticed, instead she is asked alongside Auralite to be a new gamma since a few of her current ones would be joining Bogclan's high ranks. There was a thought from her that she should turn down the offer, Freeze didn't even like Glass as their alpha... but there was advantages to being of a higher rank. More information about the choses Glass was making hopefully and so she chooses, against what she thinks is smart, to accept. She just wants to see them go home without all the bloodshed she fears is coming. Not that she can even catch a break with this, the stress of new duties or her decicion actually leading to her minor symptoms getting worse.

Extras/Fun Facts

Rp Example

Freeze felt her paws aching as she ran throughout the many areas of their new territory, eyes darting around and ears pricked to listen for even the smallest sounds.

It was her day off from duties technically, but by the time she had left camp, it was getting close to moonhigh. For once she got the chance to see all that their new territory had to offer past the drab scenery. The swamp always felt so much more beautiful, it was her home, but oddly the stillness and danger intrigued her.

This was new and it was exciting to test the limits, hence her long-winded run. By starclan the she-cat didn’t know how long she had been running, but soon she knew she had to go back. Her duties would start that sunrise… it wasn’t smart to skip her sleep. Lack of sleep meant her hunting wouldn’t be as accurate and that would be humiliating for her.

Pausing to look up at the sky and the moon, Freeze’s eyes softened a little with disappointment at the stars not being nearly as bright as they were in the forest. It hurt her heart and with a scrunch of her nose she decided she didn’t need to see anything more. None of it had changed what she thought.

The city was interesting because of how new it was, but it wasn’t their home. It felt wrong to call it that and all the dark tabby could do was make her way to camp and hope Shard had a plan. They needed to get their previous territory back before it was truly too late.

  • No voice claim as of this point
  • Her personality type was said to be ISTJ-A and her alignment is Lawful Neutral
  • Kits and the idea of them are one of the few things that actually terrify her. They are just so much smaller than her and are too strange in her opinion.
