Gizmo

Gizmo from young age was an orphan, known as Adgie, abandoned by his family shortly after he was born. He didn't make any friends and spent most of his time with his caretaker, an elderly cat named Processor. In the orphanage, the older cat taught Adgie how to knit and sew, sparking a passion for the young kitten. But eventually the day came for Processor to pass on and left the young cat devastated, fleeing from the orphanage and finding himself lost in the huge, terrifying fortress of the Capital. Knowing that the unverified wouldn't be taken too kindly, he deftly snuck through the city and found a hidey-hole high up in an abandoned hotel room, supposedly haunted by a ghost.¹ There he lived for 4 seasons, memorizing the locations of all of the cameras near his hideaway, hidden and otherwise. Adgie is an accomplished thief steals when necessary, but believes in a rogue's honour and only takes what he believes will not be missed or is already forgotten about. The home he made for himself is full of little trinkets he's taken or hoarded away, little crafts projects and quilts. Finding food is difficult without venturing too far out of the Capital, and while Adgie has spent most of his time on his own, he has met and bonded with a young, verified cat who teaches him about the world and often plays and shares meals with him. They became fast friends and often teach each other about their wholesome skills. Adgie has taught her how to pick pockets, break into  homes undetected and she has taught Adgie to appreciate life, use technology and to hunt animals weaker than they. 

Adgie later was recruited when Media was invaded by the neighboring lands and after proving his loyalty to the land and bravery in the face of darkness and evil, he earned his median handle of Gizmo. The new Median ended up living in the apartment besides Settings which was way larger of space than he needed or ever had before and would end up housing unverified there while they were in processing to get their handles. He now works as a processer for the Council and monitors to get as many unverified applicants trained and processed and housed as possible, all while maintaining their rights and is a big advocate for individual privacy for Social Media. Film and Settings have to check on his apartment periodically to make sure it's just not filled with stray unverified due to the rules of it being a luxury median apartment. However, despite their attempts to keep his home under control, Gizmo has always been good at evading the rules for that kind of thing and has a system for the unverified to be able to dodge security to get in and out of his home so that way they have a place in winter and during bad weather (otherwise the capital kicks out unverified from the city in winter) He advocates for shelters outside the city as well for unverified, and spends most of his days overseeing the project when not looking for unverified in need of help.

¹An old Median rented one of the rooms in the hotel for years, reportedly keeping it at an uncomfortably low temperature. It is said that they tried to cheat death with modern science and managed to succeed for a long time until there was a power outage that lasted too long and the long-overdue decomposition finally caught up to them. Their remains were said to be engrained deep into the floors of the room.
