Physical Appearance: Kuroaki has short, dark blue hair with long bangs. He has a long ponytail in front of one ear which is bleached orange. He has horizontal horns with three small branches. His eyes, tail fur, and cow-like ears are all a gradient from yellow to blue. He wears a blue sleeveless chinese collared shirt with a blue 1-sleeved Japanese robe over it, tied with a red dragon-scale printed obi. He wears orange pants tucked into red boots. Everything is trimmed in gold. He looks handsome and kind. He is far more approachable than his intimidating parents.
Personality: Kuro still suffers pain at the memory of his mother's death and has to deal with some very human emotions regarding his step-mother, whom he doesn't like very much. But he loves his half-sister Jori very much, as well as his step-sister Shinrai. In fact, he and Shinrai quickly became best friends when they were children and have been so ever since. He admires a great many things about her... a little too much. He is someone who believes in duty and running a kingdom well. He is the reason Shinrai never ran away as a child--instead convincing her to stay and do what she can as a princess to improve the world, to use their power for good. He has been a great support in that. So the fact that she's now missing is very disturbing to him on a lot of levels. He can be headstrong but always has a good argument for it. He did not fight in the great battle, to his shame even now. (So going after Shinrai is really important. It will help prove he is a fit ruler in the future)
History: He has basically never left the kingdom, even when it was part of the world below. So he only knows about the rest of East Asia from books! And youkai and humans were never allowed to immigrate so he was in the same boat with them. His opinions about them have been changing because of Shinrai and now he recognizes their rights as fellow sentient beings... even though it's because of them--especially the specific ones arounds him--that his mother is dead. The same is true for Shinrai's father though so she has convinced him.
