Demon Overview:
The name "demon" may be misleading; Demons are integral to Arcadias natural workings, almost more like spirits of Arcadia. Theyre rare and powerful, and they primarily care for Arcadia in whatever their specific specialty may be, for Seraphine, this means caring for and growing many of Arcadias most beautiful plants and meadows. Pure demons are rarely born: more often they are created by Arcadia itself. Demons act as a constant loop of stabilization; for example, if a beautiful meadow of flowers begins to grow, a demon may be created to tend it. The demon then creates more of what it was created to tend and expands Arcadia's growth. Lady Seraphine is one such demon. She sprung many years ago from a field of red flowers and must remain in her 100 acre Grove to tend this magical place for all time. Pure demons are immortal until their life is manually ended, and because of this, Seraphine has no idea how old she is anymore. (The combination of pure demons and the other races of arcadia is believed to be the origin of the "demonborn"). Demons can be created with any number of eyes, horns, or other strange features, and often come in odd colors. This is believed to be because they are formed from raw magic as opposed to magic imply inhabiting an already physical body. Some demons are considered stronger and more dangerous than others, flower demons being one of the less concerning tiers.
Overview of Lady Seraphine :
Seraphine is a flower demon with 3 total eyes and vine styled skin markings that travel up her whole body. She wraps red ribbons around several parts of her body where the skin markings are the most intense. Many demons have been seen doing this and there are no reports from any living beings that have seen them remove the ribbons; the reason for this is unknown to the general population. However, Its typically done in an attempt to connect the demon more to their "physicality" and helps them mentally and spiritually remain grounded in their form. During times of creat crisis, a demon will remove these ribbons and connect fully to their original chaotic nature of Arcadia, often becoming great monsters in the process. Seraphine has only received one visitor in the last hundred years and it was an elderly monk elf named "Pops", whos company she greatly enjoyed.
Seraphine enjoys dancing and writing in her free time, as her mere presence within the Grove is enough to keep it lush and perfect. This is not to say that the beautiful flower demon has never gotten her hands dirty, however.
Her Past:
Lady Seraphine did not always live so peacefully. During the times of great war and change across Arcadia's nations, many sought to gain the power of the demons. it is said that they eyes of a demon can grant great magical powers to those that possess it, and because of this, many "heros" sought to enter the Grove and take the girls eyes for their own. None succeeded however, and she used the blood of the fallen to feed her Red Grove. One such hero entered with a demon eye already in their possession. This horrified and enraged Lady Seraphine to the point that she dismembered the warrior piece by piece, feeding them all to the Grove until only the eye was left. In an act of mourning and respect she took the eye and kept it safe in her possession where it currently still resides; tied delicately around her neck. After this the Red Grove was immortalized in legend and with it, Seraphine herself. None but the most peaceful druids dare to enter her lands.
