Born into a friendly family of Leopard Geckos, everyone expected Mono, the first and only son, to turn out like the rest of the family, however, what they got was a menace. From a young age, he developed concerning behavior, especially after being teased in grade school for his height. He got into his first fight in elementary school after another student called him short. Any dig at his height instantly riles him up. His appearance and species make others believe he's docile and vulnerable, however, he breaks this stereotype by being extremely volatile. Mono grew up unfriendly and it left him with many scars and zero friends. Because of this, his temper continued to flare, so his parents decided to try to redirect his rage into a hobby. He went to a concert with his sister when he was in middle school and heard the band Dark Demise play a set and became infatuated with their music. His sisters heard him singing and were actually impressed by his voice and encouraged him to practice. Throughout high school, he learned how to play various instruments to accompany his singing and was scouted right out of high school by Teshima Kazuki, the former bass guitarist and lead singer of Crimson Veil to join a band he was creating. He initially got along with all of the other band members and they were on their way to becoming popular.

Overture Overkill

Overture Overkill was a popular upcoming band that consisted of five members: Mono (Lead Singer), Yoko (Pianist/Back-Up Vocals), Maki (Rhythm Guitar), Akari (Bass Guitar), and Zen (Drummer).The band was a bit of a unique fixture in the local scene because they were managed by a retired legend who scouted each member himself. They were internationally recognized after the release of their PV Black Soul Circus; the song was used in a popular anime and they became more popular from there. It put a lot of pressure on Mono and Yoko who were the main song writers and vocalists. The tension started between Maki and Mono when they noticed that there were talent scouts and other bands looking to steal Mono for their own bands. Maki started acting abrasive and jealous because his guitar skills were not being acknowledged as well. While initially everyone just wanted to keep the peace, Maki eventually pushed Mono and their fued got physical. The attack seemed unprovoked and when everyone told Mono to chill out, he walked away from the group. Despite them begging him to come back, he stubbornly refused. Without their main vocalist and argubly the backbone of their group, the band lost a good portion of their fanbase and popularity. Eventually after Akari and Zen became friends again with Mono, the band ultimately had a major falling out and eventually disbanded. Maki and Yoko quickly jumped to another band that had medium popularity, but alas Maki's attitude got him kicked out fairly quickly. Akari and Zen decided to focus on graduating and working instead, leaving music as just a hobby. They still try to convince Mono to start a band again or go solo, but he is content with the life he lives right now...or so he says.
