Personality

Shin is brave and hotheaded male, who has a big ego that is easily damaged. He can get jealious and cruel at times, especially when he feels like his ego has been bruised. Despite this, Shin is a loyal and caring friend. He is bit of a clown due to the fact he acts before thinking sometimes, which may get him into trouble. He very brave and ready to put himself on the line of danger to help hiw friends.

Appearance

Shin is white akita inu male with no notable markings. He has brown eyes and teeth-mark-scars on his left shoulder, made by Gin. He wears a brown collar.

Relationships

Fuji and Ryu

Shin loves both his mother and brother greatly, though he sometimes gets annoyed by Ryu's jovial attitude towards Gin and those who compare the brothers.

Gin

Shin's hatered towards Gin stems from jealiousy and bitterness. Shin thinks it's unfair that Gin got to be trained by Gohei, meet their father and become a hero that the whole of Akita looks up to. The more Shin was being compared to Gin and Riki, more angry Shin got. After meeting Gin again, his feelings got even muddier, eventually turning into full on hate after Gin attacked Pink Dragon, whom he had just befriended.

Pink Dragon

Shin met Pink Dragon after running away to live in the forest. Pink is injured and collapses near him, and Shin nurses him to health. Pink then tells Shin that he is on his way to take revenge on the Ohu soldiers for killing his fellow warriors. Shin manages to persuade him from killing Gin to coming up with a plan to humiliate him instead. Shin and Pink grow close over the course of the few days and become friends. When Gin attacks Pink Dragon with Battouga, Shin stands between them to protect Pink, taking the hit himself. After this, Pink and Shin have been loyal to one another.

Backstory

Shin was born few minutes after Ruy, and few before Gin. He was sold off to a family friend who's daughter wanted a white akita. Shin loved his owner and life with his new family, but when the news of Gin defeating Akakabuto started to spread, others started to compare Shin to his younger brother, causing old jealiosy to rise back up to Shin's mind. Year after Akakabuto's defeat, Shin decided to find Gin and challenge him, to show everyone that he too can be just as good of a soldier as Gin. He is interupted by Ruy, and the two decide to visit Fuji before Shin leaves to find Gin. After leaving Fuji, Ruy tries to talk Shin down from challenging Gin... only for Gin to appear. The silver akita was planning on visiting Fuji as well, and just happened by his brothers, whom he no longer recogniced. When Shin realised that Gin didn't know who he was, he was angered and attacked Gin. Gin, now realizing who Shin and Ruy were, easily pushed Shin down. He tried to talk with Shin, but the white male was so angry from the memory of being thrown down by his brother as a pup that he ran away to live in the forest, so that he may grow stronger.

Few days later, Shin had calmed down for a bit, ad he had learned to live in the wild. There he met a stange looking dog, with a pink mane. The dog is hurt and bleeding and collapses near him. Shin takes the dog to the cave he uses as nest and the dog finally wakes up, revealing himself to being a wolf named Pink Dragon. Pink tells Shin that he survived the earthquake that destroyed the underworld and came to Ohu to take revenge on Gin for causing the fall of the empire. Shin, who though dislikes his brother, doesn't want Gin dead, persuades Pink to rethink this and instead humiliate Gin by taking over Ohu. The two start to plan taking Gin down together. As they are fishing at the river, Gin and Ryu find them, and Gin recognises Pink Dragon. Thinking that Shin is in danger, Gin attacks Pink with his battouga. Shin stands between the two to protect his new friend. Noticing this, Gin manages to slow the battouga down so that it is no longer deadly, but can't stop it completely, hitting Shin's shoulder. Shin is angered by his brother's actions and vows revenge on Gin, loosing most of his still remaining love for his brother. Shin and Pink leave to start the army, leaving Gin devastated and Ryu confused.

Shin and Pink then meet a female Kai Ken called Torayuri at a small temple in Iwate, who tells them that she is the daughter of Akatora. Torayuri takes them to elderly Hairoo who tells them about a pack of Shinobi-dogs who live near by. Shin, Pink and Torayuri make their way there, only to find that only two young shinobis live there. The brothers, Ryo and Shou, join them after some persuating. The group then make their way to Himedake where they meet Akihime.
