About
Inari was born into the universe as the god of love, but he never felt quite connected to his powers in that way. He was much more interested in darker magic- creating vampires, dark elves, florescent plants that thrive in the shadows, and other various creatures. Despite the difficulty darker magic not coming naturally to him, he started to enjoy his immortal life more with his newfound abilities.
As a lower ranking god, this new interest in darker powers was greatly frowned upon from the other gods. Yamuna, the highest ranking of them all, particularly disliked the personality Inari was developing, so, to prevent anymore misdeeds from the young god, Yamuna locked him in his lands and decided kept a close eye on him. Sadly, they grew to dislike Inari's face and expressions over time. They attempted to "fix" Inari by punishing him with a whip to the face, but it did nothing but scar the young god's head. Yamuna, tired from their efforts, ended up making a mask for Inari that he was required to wear in the presence of everyone.
Though Inari doesn't enjoy Yamuna and their terrible treatment, he found odd comfort from wearing the mask given to him. Hiding his imperfections makes him feel like he can... blend in more with mortals and be more presentable to his fellow gods. He shouldn't want to wear it, but he can't help it. He usually has intense anxiety without his mask.
Character
Inari typically has a cheery, carefree attitude. He's acquired lots of patience from living with Yamuna and meeting their expectations. He can be reckless and tends to just do whatever his heart tells him without much thought. He tries to see the best in everyone and everything as he wants to live the happiest life he can.

- Has a scar on the right side of his face that stretches to his forehead.
- There are white and red markings under his eyes and red markings on his cheeks.
- Has one upper fang and one lower on opposite sides of mouth.

• GODS' CREATIONS
Loves interactions with his and the other gods creations on a daily basis. He wishes he was mortal sometimes...
• ALL ANIMALS
Sometimes the other gods will catch him laying in the middle of the forest, surrounded by little critters.
• EARL GREY TEA
It reminds him of when he lived with Yamuna- which wasn't fun. But, the tea was great!
• THE LUTE
Any song played on a lute fills Inari's core with happiness! He doesn't remember when he encountered it, but now he always carries one around.
Dislikes
• CONFORM
He doesn't like when people impose their wants onto others; "All should be free!" He says.
• YAMUNA (?)
Those feelings are complicated.
• FROGS
He loves all sorts of creatures, but frogs gross him out. Too slimy and jumpy...
• BEING TALL
The gods are naturally extremely large, and he rather be smaller... closer to the mortals.
• CONFRONTATION
He rather not argue and just walk away from any disagreement. It'll solve itself... possibly.
Trivia
- His mask can change to any animal, or person's face, by tapping his pipe on it.
- The pipe he carries puffs out a purple smoke that makes mortals feel at ease and/or lustful.
- Since he's technically the god of love, his touch can fill a mortal with love and/or lust.
- He enjoys chatting with people daily, but doesn't usually hold long, or close, relationships.
- Due to the build up of magic he doesn't use, his cheeks are always flushed.
