loves: finally having a purpose, messing with Omri
hates: The southern kingdoms and it’s people
strengths: Physical strength is unmatched, deceptive and smart, skilled in both armed and unarmed fights, not easily distracted, focussed
weaknesses: prone to self-doubt when it comes to his worth in the world, depends on Omri
fears: that he’ll never find Omri (and he’ll never re-gain his purpose)
hopes: That Omri will be able to regain his kingdom and take back his throne

General: Loyal to Omri and takes his job as personal guard seriously. Keeps Omri at arms-length even though the prince is constantly lusting after him. Refuses to give in to what the prince wants.
Callidus was the champion of the tournament held for choosing the prince’s personal guard. He entered simply out of boredom and never expected to win let alone actually be accepted by the prince as well. Omri had caused some controversy at previous tournaments due to his bias towards attractive young men and often refused champions if they were not to his standards even after besting all their opponents. This usually led to king drolga having to compensate the champion with grand treasures and immense amounts of gold. Not having had much purpose before the event Callidus swore his loyalty to the prince, so much so he was even willing to go against king drolga’s own men if it meant keeping the prince safe. On multiple occasions he had taken it upon himself to ‘fix’ issues that may have harmed or hindered Omri. When questioned by the prince Callidus would always play dumb, admitting to nothing and knowing nothing about the whereabouts of missing castle staff….  Deceptive and cunning these sorts of tasks were an easy pass time for Callidus. He had the ability to win over peoples trust with no effort and knew every possible way to get the information he needed.

The night of the divide: Sanghol (the eastern kingdom) survived the divide but was not prepared for the attack from the south one generation later when they were attempting to claim all untainted land for themselves. The kingdom fell quickly and violently. King Drolga was dethroned and killed, his horns, claws, scales and teeth kept as trophies by the invaders (and still worn by the false king currently). Omri was forced to flee with Callidus, only to become separated when they were cornered and Callidus was pinned. Omri slipped away and ran to the north, leaving him behind. Callidus did manage to overpower the invaders but was gravely injured and was unable to follow after Omri fast enough. He spends his days still dutiful – looking for his lost prince. He also has taken up taking out traffickers as he goes, Callidus has become known as a bit of a bounty hunter. He stashes the treasures taken from them to one day gift to Omri. He also takes a tooth from each (usually while they’re still breathing) in rightful revenge of those demons and spirits the traffickers have done the same to.
