Escarion (WiP)

This is a work in progress describing Vijaya's home planet Escarion:

Distance from star: 130 million kilometers

Moons: 2 (Arvoos and Straxirus)

Environment

Escarion roams around in a binary star solar system as it's second planet. The planet's surface is volcanic and there are enourmous oceans and streams made of lava. The planet has a slightly sulphuric atmosphere, but there is also a big hospitable area with a more oxygenated atmosphere safe to breathe on it. The terrain is rocky, there are a lot of high mountains and volcanoes, Escarian soil is red and brown. The hospitable area near the equator contains an enormous city state with approximately twenty million inhabitants. The city state has a lot of skyscrapers and many reddish, gray or white colored buildings in different heights in its downtown area in a cyberpunk like style, a lot of smaller buildings in the outskirts and there were also slums, where the poorest and homeless folk settled down. Even if the planet would be hostile to plants, there is a variety of extremophile plants. Some are able to bear fruit and crops, which can be used for food ingredients.

Inhabitants 

Escarians are a tall, humanoid cyclopic alien race with pointed ears. The majority of them have blue skin and pink hair in its various shades, but there is also the minority of other variations of skin and hair colors. Rare occurrences of vitiligo and albinism also happens along Escarians. Eye colors range in greens to turquoise hues for the majority, minority can have other colors too. Escarians are restistant to heat and electricity, this species also has excellent healing powers. Other than that, they don't have any special abilities. Exception is Vijaya Thradvir, who was born with the power of Dark Matter Manipulation, a rare power in the universe and later unlocks psychic powers in her life.

Government, Culture and Society

The planet has five social ranks: royalty, upper class, military, middle class and a lower class. Actually very similar as we can find on many other worlds. Escarion's government is a constitutional monarchy and a democratic parliament since the beginning of time. The current king, named Talyan, a blue skinned and pink haired Escarian, ruled over Escarion together with prime minister Malina, a nice and warm-hearted middle-aged woman, who was also a different colored Escarian with lilac skin and raspberry-colored hair.

Escarians are a pacifist race, they don't have intentions to attack other planets. They prefer to have symbiotic partnerships with other planets to share resources with. The military exists only for planetary defense and solving conflicts on the planet like law enforcement.

Economy and technology:

Escarion has a flourishing economy, thanks to it's economy minister, who is also the richest man on Escarion, Arun Thradvir senior. The currency on Escarion is the Escarian Paxni, it appears in coins and banknotes, they are embossed and printed with King Talyan's bust on it.

Technology on Escarion is quite advanced, they use volcanic activity powered power plants to generate electricity for the planet.
