Navika is no longer his own person, because in god's eyes, he is undeserving of the privilege. He was destined to Fall, but because of his unparalleled power, he was deemed dangerous to let Fall into the hands of Hell. So naturally, the only solution was to use his power for Heaven's benefit, but keeping his sinful mind trapped within his own body. In a way, he has become the perfect, obedient servant for god.
Those that see him being dragged around by his puppet master are typically filled with an unnerving dread. He doesn't interact with anyone in any way, he is incapable of that, but he is a reflection of what is, perhaps, the cruellest punishment god can give. A fate worse than death.
Many angels are sentenced to Fall if they succumb to sin. Most fear this fate, though, there exists a way to be sinful in the eyes of god, yet still be allowed in Heaven. However, this fate is feared more than Falling. Everyone fears becoming an Ingratus. Not much is known about this small population, but the angels know how to describe it to each other. Their explanation goes as such: "if god deems you useful enough, then your sinful mind will be locked away, leaving only your body, which he will use to his liking." This is the process of becoming an Ingratus.
Right before a sinful angel can fall, god will decide whether or not he wishes to keep their power to use for Heaven's benefit, which will create the Ingratus. The last thing these angels will see is a bright, blinding light, and this will be the only thing they will see for all eternity from then onwards. Their halos are put over their eyes, and they shine brighter than ever before. Then, a supreme angel will be tasked to control them as their new master. They can follow commands, or if need be, strings of light will connect them to their master so they can be physically puppeteered. Even if their body takes great damage, their master can still control their body like a puppet on strings. The Ingratus can still think, feel sensations, and cry out if hurt too much.
