Tall, Thickset Male
Wardrobe; Lucias wears a sleeveless, mesh crop-top with a scalemail harness. Draped over his shoulders and chest is a starry, sheer shawl, a mix of blues and purples. There are times where he'll let this shawl rest over his arms, as well. He wears dark harem pants and sandals. Lastly, crescent-shaped earrings made of silver from his ears— these are optional.
His outfit for when the party travels to Ig'nelle is still a work in progress, but it will feature the same armor as well as his Headband of Intellect and Cloak of the Manta Ray.
More to be added as the campaign continues!
- He is never to be seen without his eyepatch, or something to cover his right eye. He has deep scars that crawl out from underneath. His left arm is scarred, as well.
- He is not used to the heat and humidity that has come along with island travel. He generally dresses lightly.
- Being Half Moon-Elf, starlight glitters in his hair. Drawing this is completely optional! His hair can either be worn up or down.
Personality | “There's water in the human body? Nice try, Princess, you can't trick me with that one.”
Depending on whom you are speaking to, the name "Lucias" has very real potential to cause a stir. He has earned himself a reputation— that of a romantic, but also that of a scoundrel. Some will say that he cannot be trusted, and others will speak of the dreamy glow in his eyes. Regardless of any conflicting accounts, Lucias himself remains unbothered.
Some find his ignorance to be almost endearing. He presents himself as a humble man, always seeking to learn. One of the most noticeable things about him, though, is regarding his faith. Despite living in a world where his religion is...frowned upon, to say the least, Lucias himself is very insistent on spreading the good word of Selune. It doesn't seem that his roots in Aubade have deterred him from doing so, despite the poor public opinion.
Though hesitant to speak on his own past, he is always opening himself up to new experiences. But those who know him more dearly will know of his poor commitment issues and flighty nature.
Charming
His manner of speaking is drawn-out and polite, and flattery is always on hand should he believe someone to be deserving of it. To call him silver-tongued would not be innacurate— winning people's trust is very important to him. He knows well how to play-up his positive qualities.
Fickle
It seems that Lucias can never settle down...with anything, nor anyone. Though he seeks out the world and its pleasures, he very quickly will become bored with what he's found, often to the detriment of those around him. Don't find yourself surprised if he disappears from your life on a whim, someday.
Chatty
Lucias is never short on things to say. Seemingly ever-curious and ever-so delighted to let everyone know exactly what is on his mind, he is not afraid to weave together a tale or a string of questions. Should you fall victim to his interest, beware... whether he thinks highly of you or not, he will find something to say.
Mysterious
Even though he seems to never stop talking, there are certain subjects he will clam up about. Or, simply leave up to your imagination instead. For a man so full of himself, one might expect him to not spare any details. But Lucias isn't ALWAYS keen on sharing his opinion, and, even less-so, details regarding his past.

Not much is known to the party about what happened before. Only that, once, Lucias lived in Aubade in a Church settled in the mountains, away from the bustling central city. It was during one night that he and his brother snuck into a royal party, and that was where he first met the princess, Nevari Sunturner. Despite being in a relationship with Nevari for three years, and even owning a home together, one day Lucias simply...left. No one had a clue where he ended up. All that he left behind was a letter for Nevari, which broke things off, to say the least.
By some manner of circumstance, Lucias ended up in the Triad of Cryminno. It was there that he joined a circus— he did not have an act himself, however. He was simply dating the ringleader, Castor, and stuck around for the fun. But it all abruptly ended when he was caught cheating with the contortionist. After being banned from the circus, Lucias drifted to a number of different places. But it was in Talle that he first met a tiefling woman named Love.
Love, Lucias's girlfriend, was who first introduced Lucias to the rest of the party. They all shared a job at Curio’s Curiosities facility under her management. It was there that they tested magical items, and it was there that he was unexpectedly reunited with Nevari and her younger sibling, Carrow. When things went awry with an amalgamation hidden in the basement of the facility, the party decided to travel together to meet with the owner of the establishment in the capital, seeking answers.
After Curio Knick Knack provided some sparse answers, the party entered a competition sponsored by the royal family of Talle, which promised "sponsorship of an endeavor". Without an idea as to what they would want if should they win, they dove headfirst. Miraculously, despite the unsteady teamwork, they won! However, they were now expected to stick together and travel, under the guise of their new adventurer's company, Stellar Remnants, which stated its mission to be to search for magical artifacts.
One day, Love disappeared. It was for a short while that Lucias dated a druid satyr involved in the competition, Seline, but they had to part ways when she...left to go to war. Lucias, who is petrified of water and terribly seasick, began travelling with the party on their new boat, all the way back to the Triad of Cryminno. It was there that they heard a certain circus may be harboring a magical item... this was, of course, the same circus Lucias was banned from. Despite this setback, they still sought answers together there.
Something much larger than they could have ever expected is afoot. At the circus, the party was caught up in a trap— in a mirror realm, fragmented together by twisted pieces of their own memories. Mona Lookinglass, who devised the scheme, said that she was forming a new world, and intended for her realm to eventually cover the entire triad and trap all of its inhabitants within it. The party fought her, hoping to pry answers out of her once she was taken down...but she began to turn to ashes. Lucias began to heal her, but was only able to recover some of her body. After she begged for him to kill her, he complied.
After visting Ike's wife and home in the Triad, it is now that the party has decided to set off for the volcanic island of Ig'nelle, hearing rumor of another magical artifact...as well as something that may be related to Nevari, although they aren't quite sure as to what exactly that might be. For now, Lucias has brought along Vail, the contortionist he cheated on Castor with, to "help her find her dream as an actor" elsewhere.
- I created Lucias back in October of 2020! Simply because I wanted to try my hand at creating a character with the default Acolyte background. We began the official campaign, Beyond the Horizon, in June of 2022. It is currently ongoing.
- He is currently travelling with Nevari Sunturner, Carrow Sunturner, Oleander Ravenmoure, Ikea Volkov, and Vail Vassevau. Their ship is called the Skyliner, and Lucias has, at least temporarily, been given the role of chef.
- Despite being the party healer, his healing skills are...messy. It is not necessarily his strong suit, but he tries nonetheless.
- Lucias has an extreme phobia of water, and cannot swim.
Nevari Sunturner
Relationship: ex-girlfriend, not getting along
"Ah, the princess. We shared some wonderful times together, truly— but that’s all in the past now. To be quite honest, I never would have expected to see her again. But things have a funny way of working out, don’t they? Oh, and speaking of funny, getting to see her fumble around with her sword and put those “lessons” to use was absolutely hysterical. After witnessing that display, I’d dare to say that I’ve picked up a thing or two while out on my own! But… it all feels a tad bittersweet. I cannot pinpoint as to why. Oh, well. I figure I might as well make do with how things are now!
...On second thought, things aren't quite as funny as they seemed initially. It doesn't feel the best to be publicly humiliated, especially during our "duel". Not only this, but she goes out of her way to put in a nasty comment or two about me in front of others, and honestly, it's just gotten to be exhausting. Sometimes I feel like I don't recognize her anymore, she's changed so much. Incredibly reckless, now. Terribly cruel. Still, I feel horrible about the sleep spell I cast on her. I didn't mean to hurt her."
Carrow Sunturner
Relationship: friend...?
"Carrow...well, previously, at least, I would have said that we got along just fine— a couple of nights out on the town together amongst other shenanigans. After Nevari and I parted ways, I would have expected a bit of a change in the nature of our relationship. But, to be quite honest, I'm not all too sure that things have changed that much. They have a love for the dramatics, which I can definitely admire when I'm not on the receiving end of such. But they do have a tendency to leave me feeling embarrassed or fumbling over what to say. Glad that we are friends, though. I think."
Oleander Ravenmoure
Relationship: friend
"He's the well-spoken sort, very polite. Mysterious all the same. I believe that he's a sailor, or something of that nature? To be honest, I am mostly hoping to learn more about where it is that he picked up his magical prowess. It's similar to mine, necromancy and all that, but at the same time...peculiar. I've never seen anything like it. Could I learn to do that? Either way, I'm aiming to make a good impression. I think it best to have him with me rather than against me. Also, he's quite charming.
I must add that I've discovered him to be quick to direct attention away from himself in conversation— when it isn't pertaining to flattery, of course. Mysterious indeed. I think he has a crush on me."
Ikea Volkov
Relationship: oh goddess above...
"I think that he is interesting. Strong, certainly, but very...blunt. Comes across as impolite, and makes up his mind very quickly. Doesn't like being indebted to someone, or at least to me, as I've found. However, I think his capabilities in combat are nothing to scoff at. I've never seen anything quite like his ability to transform into a wolf. Perhaps he'll come around eventually, and we'll get along better— perhaps the goddess could aid in that. We could learn from one another.
I've made a most fascinating discovery. As it turns out, the brute does indeed have a heart...for his one true love. By no doubt, Selune has played a hand in this. Is it odd to say that he reminds me of my father in this regard? I've actually found him to be quite pleasant when the conversation is steered toward his wife rather than literally anything else. I am flattered that he allowed me to transcribe a letter for her in return. Let's just say that...I am the BEST option as for who to approach this subject with. And I think that he will find his gratitude for me soon enough!
I am secretly a bit terrified of this man. I have no idea where we stand."
