The Past

The Past Cupid's past is anything but simple. They have barely any memory of when they first appeared in the world, being suddenly brought into it by simple chance. Vague memories hint to war and carnage, their vision being blurs of golden and red. The first thing the false angel remembers is waking up chained to the floor. The holy metal burned their skin, while angels looked on from above, confused as to why this creature was so similar to them. Eternity passed, or no time at all, Cupid cannot recall; they remember waking up once more like they had done so many times before, but the rage from the previous ones built up so that they unleashed chaos one more, escaping their once holy prison, covered in the same gold that they remembered. Cupid now hid in shadowy, remote human villages, hiding their appearance under cloaks and hunting deer with a stolen bow and arrow. Though, however they tried to avoid attention, their gorgeous alluring appearance caught the eye of many humans; although those who dare meddle with them, seemingly all had their hearts broken at the end.

The Imp

Having lived for millennia now, Cupid had mastered the art of traveling. Be that through time or space, having time to read all the scrolls and chop off angel heads has given them knowledge few possess. Having been there when the tales were written, they took a liking to the Greco-roman god of love, and decided to adopt that as their new persona, paying no mind to the raging deities above; as no matter how many times they were killed, they somehow always rose back up again, bathed in gold. As time passed and kingdoms fell, they gained little enough attention to live life just as they did years ago, youth unnoticed by commoners. Their skin as smooth as ever, and their blue eyes getting simply brighter and brighter with curiosity.

Modern Times

Cupid took a liking to the modern human world. Technology has made their life easy when looking for attention, and their fashion has never been more admired. To some, they are a close friend. To others, particularly the ones just as old as them, they are a threat to the timelines. The child of the underworld continues to seduce their way through life with no discrimination, as a way to have fun. "It never gets boring" they say, "seeing their faces as I shoot their hearts in the center".
