He was born in Dornie, a small village fishing village in Scotlands. His mother has a simple Bed & Breakfast Inn and his father was a fisherman. Between his classes, he helped his dad with this fishing or was helping out his mother with their Inn. His mother was a dragon while his dad was a wolf.

In his 20s he became very problematic, getting involved with local fights and stealing things. Since his parents were getting old and tired of him, they decided to kick him out of the house. Since Vaughan didn't have a place to stay nor wanted to do something with his life... he decided to travel all around Scotland, until he got a very well-known reputation for problem-making. Afterward, he decided to leave for London, England, where he kept being a problem and joined punk groups.

Here he became a professional burglar and moved underground. He started to make the "dirty jobs" for politicians and mafias. On one of his missions, he had the order to end Leyak's life. Yet, he didn't expect to find someone who easily disarmed him and left him badly injured. Leyak was pleased with Vaughan's strength and fighting skill, so he offered him a permanent job in his criminal empire. Vaughan accepted and moved to Costa Rica where he started working for Leyak.

After many years of working for Leyak, he met a small corgi named Konoe who stole his heart and manage to control his temperament.

He loves his hometown and misses everything left behind due to his behavior. Most of the time he wished to travel back, at least to see the small Inn his mother had and to check up if his parents are ok, yet, he's way too proud and won't admit that he did wrong in the past.

"Small, delicate and charming... like a beautiful gold coin... and sometimes clumsy" that's how he describes Konoe, his wife. He feels that is his duty to protect her at all costs. Years after their marriage, they had a daughter named Sakura, who has the same personality as his Vaughan.
