Mai Louke

I met him through Sou Lisare. He’s on the same planet as him, but only comes out at night. Something to do with ‘the night light is better for his fur’. His fur is soft, though. Softer than any material on Earth. Sometimes I would sleep on his body when we go stargazing (cuz the glass platform is so hard). Sou Lisare doesn’t mind, so I guess they’re not a couple.

The first time meeting him was weird. I was, like always, randomly teleported to Sou Lisare’s glass platform and I just so happened to be on my couch, sweating out of my mind because of the summer heat, and I landed with a plop right next to Mai Louke… in my slightly revealing tank top. We shared what seemed like the slowest glance before I yelled for Sou Lisare. “SOU LISARE, WOULD YOU MIND JUST GIVING ME THE SLIGHTEST NOTICE THAT YOU ARE GONNA TELEPORT ME RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GALAXY THANK YOU?”

Sou Lisare squatted there like a sad puppy. “But I wanted to show you the meteor shower…”

Mai Louke gave us both a chuckle. “Don’t worry, we don’t mind your attire, we’re normally naked in our animal form.”

I gave an embarrassing squeak before I saw dozens of colourful meteors shoot across the sky. It was nothing like I would see on Earth, it was stunning.

After all that finished, in merely 6 seconds, Mai Louke sighed. “Now, the next one will be in 2000 years. Care to join us next time?”

I paused before answering, “sure, no matter where I am, heaven, Earth, hell, some random galaxy I look at everytime I’m here, make sure to teleport me back here to witness this beauty of a scene again”.

They both gave me a warm laugh.

“Preferably when I’m not in a tank top, though…”
