Appearance

Denise is 169 cm/5'7" tall, curvy lady with a confident and quite cocky attitude. Her skin is dark brown and she has freckles. Her tightly curled hair is deep brown and she uses a fair amount of time to stylize her hair - overall, she gives a lot of attention to how she looks. She wears a moderate amount of makeup and polishes her nails, she likes to play with different earrings and has an industrial piercing on her left ear. Her eyes are green and there's a light brown circle around her pupils.
Denise isn't a smiley person, and if she smiles, it's more likely a sarcastic grin.

Abilities

Denise has an ability to control people's levels of energy at will - and sometimes accidentally, if her emotions are taking the best of her. This ability indirectly gives her the power to have an effect on person's heart rate and cause an actual damage to the heart.

Personality

Denise isn't there to make friends, and she doesn't care if people like her or not - frankly, there are few people she cares about, either. She's immune to any kind of honeyed words and flattering, and her bs detector is very precise. She's definitely more doubtful than trustful of people's motives, and gaining her trust isn't an easy task. She's used to work things on her own and it's extremely difficult for her to ask for help.
While Denise isn't a sociable person, she isn't afraid of people - quite the opposite, with her ability she feels like there's nothing to be truly concerned about. She can be blunt to people, but there's always a hint of humor behind her words, and she rarely gets angry - she can be vexed and it shows, but she has no problem expressing herself constructively through words. If she wants, that is - she won't use her time and effort to people she doesn't give a damn about. To her loved ones, on the other hand, she's loyal and caring, and she would go to incredible lengths to protect them.

• Her dad's parents are from Nigeria and her mom's family is white British. Her parents separated when she was a child, and she has always felt more connected to her dad rather than her mom. She has a younger half-sister from her mother's side.
  • Denise's father has a supernatural ability as well.
• She's Liam's ex. It was a perfect love story until Liam ruined it all by deciding to not drag Denise into the criminal world he lived in, and broke up with her. Quite conveniently around the time Denise's dad went mysteriously missing.
  • After her dad had disappeared, Denise started her personal quest to find him, abandoning her medical studies. Later on she will find out that her dad was kidnapped, and the kidnapping job was performed by Liam and his brother Lewis, as they were ordered to do so by the criminal organization they worked for... before some juicy incidents took place.
    • Things are starting to get really messy here...
    • Following a lead, Denise finds herself meeting with a peculiar mob boss who has some interesting information to share.
