Present
The Temple os the Pentagram seems to be planning something. He remembers what happened on his 15th birthday. This will be bigger. This will be dangerous. He chose that he wouldn't stick around to find out, and went off-planet. No, Mary-Lou doesn't know about any of this, not even that Artemis didn't tell anyone that he was leaving. Except at the job, that is.
